Unfreedom of the Press is not just another book about the press. [Levin] shows how those entrusted with news reporting today are destroying freedom of the press from within - not through actions of government officials, but with its own abandonment of reportorial integrity and objective journalism. With the depth of historical background for which his books are renowned, Levin takes you on a journey through the early American patriot press, which proudly promoted the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Editorial reviews
Logos Bible Study presents Dr. Bill Creasy's lesson on the first book of Kings. Detailing the fall of David and the proceeding chaos, Dr. Creasy makes this complex history that spans centuries both funny and smart with modern analogies and comprehensive historical context. The audio lecture illuminates important concepts including kingships and covenants as well as the symbol of Solomon's temple and Israel's religious infidelity. With a background in teaching and English literature, Dr. Creasy's performance reveals his expert timing, both comic and dramatic. His lesson tells a fascinating story of events long ago that remain very much relevant today.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

Captivating until the very end
My daughter introduced me to Dr Creasy’s Bible studies a few years ago. I don’t know why, but I was dreading 2 Kings. Too many kings maybe. But after finishing the study, I’m in awe of the book and material Dr Creasy presented.

Slightly distracted
While Dr. Creasy was on his usual informative and scholarly game, in the early chapters on Solomon he tended to get distracted and kept jumping ahead to Solomon's son, Rehoboam. The loss of continuity is the reason for the loss of one star. But once past that early point, the rest of the book is excellently presented - especially the gleeful depiction of Jezebel's (literal) downfall.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series of lectures!
This is another great lecture series from Dr. Bill Creasy. He is always incredibly insightful and engaging. He often supplements the material with personal stories which are relevant and interesting. He has taken several trips to Israel and the Middle East where he visits the locations depicted in the Bible and he shares those first hand accounts which enables him to take you back to that point in time that the scripture is talking about.

Bill Creasy makes it " easier"
Kings has always been a challenge for me because of ALL the names you have to remember, and the parallelism, cutting back and forth to the Northern kingdoms and Southern kingdoms, then on top of that, the introduction of known ( and some not so well known) prophets. Next year, when I go over Kings AGAIN, I have to remember to make a " cheat sheet" of names. But still, as I said before, Bill Creasy makes it easier. Without Dr. Creasy I wouldn't even Try so hard to read through Kings. He could make reading even a car mechanics manual, fun .
