内容紹介
これはとても不思議なお話である。
小学六年生の天野勇一少年がある日、髪も髭も黒と黄色に染められた魔法博士と名乗る紳士と出会った。 魔法博士は不思議な奇術を見せて子供たちの興味を誘い、住んでいる洋館へ招待した。
勇一少年も親戚である小林少年を誘って魔法博士の洋館を訪れたのだ。 そこで繰り広げられる数々の不思議な奇術に、二人とも目を輝かせていた。 しかし勇一少年と魔法博士はみんなの前から忽然と姿を消してしまった。 必死に探すも見つからず、代わりに顔が人間の獣や動くコマイヌなど一見信じられない生き物には遭遇した。
そんな不可解な誘拐事件から数日後、勇一少年の行方を捜していた少年探偵団の一人、花田少年が虎に誘拐された。 連れ去られた洋館で勇一少年にも出会ったが、解放後その洋館に戻るも、もぬけの殻だった。
魔法博士は本当の魔法使いなのだろうか？
病に伏せて動けない明智探偵の代わりに行動する小林少年だが、次から次へ魔法博士に誘拐されていく。 そしてとうとう明智探偵さえも誘拐されてしまった。
虎が見張る洋館から小林少年は逃げ出せるのだろうか？ 明智探偵や勇一少年、少年探偵団の仲間は無事なのか？
この現実離れした事件を解決し、魔法博士の不思議な世界から抜け出すことが出来るのであろうか？
