Did not see that coming! Start this book !
Reviewed: 11-09-23
There is a revelation in the end of book 2 that that was absolutely incredible, changed the whole premise of what I thought the book was about. I won’t say more but you should give this series a chance.

It satisfies the hunger for the Percy Jackson universe but it’s getting woke
Reviewed: 10-30-23
It’s still a good story it just feels like Rick is trying so hard to be woke and inclusive that it doesn’t feel natural it feels forced.

Reviewed: 06-28-23
The first book was good but I wasn’t really hooked to the story till this one. The world is pretty amazing mixing pirates and steampunk (sorta) elements together in a entertaining story.

Mostly still good but a lot of the book was wasted on social warrior stuff
Reviewed: 03-11-23
I’ve loved this series from the beginning and I mean it, however there were a lot of portions that just felt like he was trying to prove his stance on racism bigotry and all the other social justice warrior talking points in this book. If they were done subtly I think it would have been less annoying. This stuff is all over social media and mainstream media I just wanted to immerse myself into this world Rowe created not get lectured. Anywho I really hope this isn’t foreshadowing what the rest of the series is going to turn into. All the topics I referred to here are important but honestly it felt like the whole point of this book was to be like “hey look at me influencing the masses through my medium”

Story
Peter Dunstan is a big rancher who wants to become bigger, to control more land. So when he buys Dr. Henry Morgan's ranchland that has been unsuccessfully converted to farming, it is his intention to return it to open range. The only stipulation the doctor makes is that Dunstan must retain Sandy Sweyn, who has more or less been Dr. Morgan's ward. Though the man is of age, he is generally considered a half-wit, even by the doctor. Still, Sandy has a fabulous gift: He can communicate with animals.

Though this was in line with a lot of the same themes of max brand books I just didn’t get sucked in like I usually do. I can’t give a definitive answer as to why, but it’s a good listen.

I started this maybe a year a two ago with the first books about Asher but once I realized there were more I had to start the next part of the story. I will honestly say That depending on how quickly I finish this book I don’t think I’ll be able to wait for my credits to refresh.

Finally some new prequel stories!!
Reviewed: 06-11-19
My first introduction to star wars was when I was very young. I remember the first time we put the phantom menace into our vhs cassette player. Witnessing the Jedi at their full strength instead of just figments of a generation before. Stories about obj-wan and qui-gon are too few. This story was amazing and it explained the “you would be on the council” comment obi makes in episode one. I hope to read more stories such as these. It was an Absolute pleasure.
