Story
Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor. With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

Story
The walls have fallen, the gates are breached, and the defenders are slain. It is the end and the death. After seven brutal years of civil war, the Warmaster stands on the verge of victory. Horus Lupercal, once beloved son, has come to murder his father. The Emperor, a shining beacon of hope to many, an unscrupulous tyrant to others, must die. The lives of uncountable numbers have been extinguished and even primarchs, once thought immortal, have been laid low. The Emperor's dream lies in tatters, but there remains a sliver of hope.

The best book GW has put out so far!

I love this book so much and have listened to it multiple times. From all the new lore to the characters that we get to meet again. I saw a lot of people didn't like it because of how much it jumps around between the huge cast of characters... you only need a reading level of at least a 5th grader in order to keep track of it all lmfao

Starts a slow

the story starts pretty slow and i found the main protagonist pretty annoying at first but after 2 or so hours into the story, when things begin to pick up, everything gets so much better

Great set of stories
Reviewed: 11-09-21
I like all of the stories, though I felt like a few of the middle ones were to short. Until I realized how they all sort of meshed together and gave Illumination to previous books in the series. I specifically loved the last story with Sevatar, after listening to the Talos trilogy im so happy I got to hear something from his unique perspective
