Story
Everyone is looking for shortcuts in life, but rarely do they find the kind they're looking for, and when they do, it never turns out like they thought. But what if you were to accidentally fall into cahoots with an other-worldly creature, who could provide those shortcuts and so much more? Of course, there's always a price attached to such favors, but killing gets easier the more you do it, and everything is great as long as the rewards outweigh the risk.

Making Deals with Demons
Reviewed: 01-11-23
John Wayne is a masterful story teller. He packs a punch with his novellas. Death Pacts is a story about everything that can go right and wrong when making deals with a demon.
John Wayne narrated his own, and personally I love that. John Wayne has a great voice in general and he really delivered life to the characters he created.

Story
Angela and Terry return home after several grueling months of filming the popular television show, Let's Switch Houses!, only to find their residence in ruin. Sure, the décor and framed photographs are the same; the color of the walls hasn't changed; the furniture sits unmoved. But something is off. Their quiet New Jersey home feels tainted. Angela can sense it. Crawling inside her. Infecting her mind. Poisoning her thoughts. Then the nightmares begin. Awful, lucid visions that cause her to question her own reality.

Story
When the raptors come out of sinkholes across the United States, Deandra Antigone Merriweather’s elder brother Johnny sees the chaos as opportunity. Overrun by prehistoric beasts of increasing size and savagery, the world has completely gone to hell, but he doesn’t suspect it will stay that way, and he wants to be a rich man by the time things get back to normal. Though less optimistic about the future, Deandra thinks it might be a good idea to have some money stashed away just in case, if only so she can one day get away from the abusive Johnny for good.

Midnight Grindhouse at It's Best
Reviewed: 01-20-22
Sean Duregger brings the narration fire like always. You can tell Sean is a fan of audio books. He's not monotone and has fun with his voice. Doesn't do a lot of characters meaning he's not a voice actor and doesn't make this sound like a cast production, but he does enough characters to keep your ears happy and your attention on the story. Lucas really brought it with this story. I've enjoyed everything I've read from him. He's a fan of a lot of things, and he showcases that love in this book. This is the best Midnight Grindhouse movie you have never seen. This is apocalypses, zombies but replace the zombies with dinosaurs, women in prison and more. Rather you read this or check out the audio book you need to experience this story. That's for sure. Don't sleep on this one, tons of fun and worth your time. Two Thumbs Up 5 Stars.

Story
There is a light and there is a darkness. There is, also, a space in between. Homer Antumbra inhabited this no-man’s-land. In his flickering flame of a life, he shined the light and lived with the darkness. His life and work changed the craft of songwriting, both showing what a song could be, and hinting at where it could go. His work redefined a genre before shattering any attempts at categorization. Shining the Light is the first in-depth look into the man, the myth, the music of Homer Antumbra, ensuring that the light still shines.

A.S. Coomer is a voice that needa to be heard through your eyes or ears. As a music lover this story delivered. I want so badly to go out and find all of Homer Antumbra's records, but he doesn't exist. So story was special to me because it takes place largely in the state and city I live in. Growing up and driving to shows seeing local bands perform and seeing regional bands perform was a high point in life. What A.S. Coomer did was take my city and landmarks there in and made this wonderful story that took me back. This story is captivating, heartwarming, and heart breaking. It's a story you really need to experience. Sean Duregger is that voice you need and went in your ears to tell you the tale of Homer. Sean gets better and better with each audio book he narrates. Looking forward to more from both. I've read A.S. Coomer's other books and this by far is my favorite. Do yourself a favor and get this book.

What an amazing gripping tale. There are things in this world that happen everyday right under our very noses. Women are kidnapped, tutored, raped and all kinds of other things, and nobody bats an eye. Samantha brings us a story of a brother and sister who escape their abusive mother, and now on the run. While on the run they leave a trail of murder and crime alone the way. This is a page turning book. Since this an audible review this will keep your ears perked with interest. Jennifer Pickens delivers a wonderful performance with her narrative. She keeps the story going handling each character with care and craft. This will story definitely delivers. It won't take up much of your time either, but it'll leave you wanting more.

Old Time Religion

This was my first A.S. Coomer novel. This is a story about a man who doesn't believe in god or religion. He's spent his time in school to learn differently. His mother doesn't agree with how he's living or the books he's written stating creation was different the bible. She's worried for his soul. This is very interesting story and it's hard to capture it in a review. I'll say it's worth your time. I loved it. If you go the audio book route Sean just gets better and better with his title narrates. He has a gift. Thou I wonder to people (myself included) sound like this? Anyways 5 star story and 5 star performance I'm defiantly a fan of A.S. Coomer and look forward to reading or listening to more if his tales.

Sean Duregger hits it out of the park with this performance. Sean truly is a fan of audiobooks. He gets better and better with each title he releases. If you're a fan of Bryan Smith then you already know what you're in store for. With Kill for Satan! Bryan takes us straight into the action. This is a perfect Halloween read. For one day Satan's followers can see who the town Virgins are and must kill them for Satan. This is a balls to wall wild fun ride through town. Each character we meet is that much funnier then the last. Plenty of action and gore and some pretty funny moments as well. Bryan definatly is a fan of horror movies as there are plenty of references through out the novella. Quick listen and definitely worth your credit or money. I can't recommend this title enough. Sean definitely brings this book to life.

My Old Kentucky Home or Nightmare?
Reviewed: 09-18-20
I've followed the author Kalvin Ellis on Instagram for a while. I bought the physical copy of this book a began reading when I got it. Not long after Kalvin released a audio version. With my hectic schedule I switched over to the audio so I could enjoy the story easier. I'll state this first. I'm from Kentucky. Being from Kentucky we don't have the pleasure of the Smoky Mountains in our state. In the beginning Kalvin kind of sets the location within the Smoky's. A side from that here we go. Paisley Mott is very likeable character. She's easily relatable too. The story flows nicely. Being this is Book 1 I'm sure some more will come from the Paisley's past in future books. Paisley is a Vlogger that researches Supernatural and Mysterious places. She was connected to investigate a Sasquatch in the Foot Hills of the Smoky Mountains. What Paisley actually discovers is very interesting indeed. Kalvin packs a lot of character's and a lot of references to a variety of Pop Culture. I'm very much looking forward to Book 2 of the Paisley Mott Mystery Series. Jessica Schly did an amazing job narrating this novel. Her use of tones and ranges was very nice. She has geniue voice that makes you want to listen on. She's just not just reading the story she's performing it. I do hope she returns for next books. I'm definitely a fan.
