Story
A report on how the greed of a privileged few, subsidized by public funding, creates substantial profits for themselves from mass human suffering. This was a speech given by General Butler during a nationwide tour in the early 1930's, but it applies even more today! Listen as he frankly discusses, from his experience as a career military officer, how business interests commercially benefit from warfare. He then suggests several practical solutions for reducing the pillage.

Wise words from nearly 100 years ago that ring almost as true today as they did then.

Story
The planet is called Banshee. The air is unbreathable, the water poisonous. It is the home of the most implacable enemies that humanity, in all its interstellar expansion, has ever encountered. Felix is a scout in A-team Two. Highly competent, he is the sole survivor of mission after mission. Yet he is a man consumed by fear and hatred.

Amazing Story!

I love the book already, the spiritual successor to Heinlen's (sp?) Starship Troopers. And Tom Weiner deep voice threw me, initially. But as the book progressed I realized how he handled multiple speakers and accents with skill, and I began to really enjoy myself.
Cannot recommend enough!

Only fragments of the account of Huma survived the Cataclysm that broke the world of Krynn. The fullness of his tale has never been told – until now. One man took up the call to defend the world against the Queen of Darkness. He was the first Hero of the Lance, driven by his devotion to the Oath and the Measure and his love for a silver dragon. His life made him a hero. Here is the tale that made him a legend….

Amazing Book, Awkward Speaker
Reviewed: 04-18-20
Love the book. One of my favorites and well worth the experience, but the speaker is slightly monotone and does awfully with multiple character, and does not handle the characters high English well.
