Story
Doctor Fionn Kane is running from a broken heart, one he hopes to mend in small-town Nebraska, far away from his almost-fiancé and his derailed surgical career. It’s a simpler life: head down, hard work, and absolutely no romantic relationships. He wants none of the circus he left behind in Boston.

This is the final book in the Ruinous Love trilogy and I think Rose and Fionn were the perfect pair to end this series with. Brynne stated that: "While writing Butcher & Blackbird was joyful, and Leather & Lark was challenging, Scythe & Sparrow felt healing" and I could not agree more with that statement.
Rose is a traveling circus performer who reads tarot, rides a motorcycle, is chaotic as they come and has a vigilante streak. Fionn is a talented and good looking doctor who is running from his past and battling with accepting his true self. Together they are absolutely hysterical and their chemistry is undeniable. Barbara might just be my favorite side character to date and I love the levity and humor she brought to the book. While this book is just as avenging and brutal as the first two, it is definitely a little slower paced. Overall I really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to see what Brynne releases next!
I listened to this book on audio and I have to add that the narrators did a PHENOMENAL job and really brought these characters to life! 10/10 for both narrators!

Story
When an injury overturns her ballet career, Isabella decides to move to a new city so she can start fresh and discover who she is without dance. The last person she expects to meet is the angry MMA fighter living next door. Kane has spent his entire life putting up walls to keep people out, and he's never had any problem doing it—until Isabella. Because the second the sweet ballerina appears in his life, it becomes apparent that his short fuse and brazen rudeness are not going to be enough to keep her away. And suddenly, that doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world.

One of the things I admire about every book I read by Nikki is that she sucks you in from the very first page. Unlike a lot of books, there is no easing into the storyline or waiting for the book to reel you in, you open the first pages and BOOM you are hooked.
This book is absolutely no exception.
Kane and Isabella are complete opposites but they are absolutely perfect for each other. Their attraction to each other and the intrinsic way that Isabella just "gets" Kane is everything! Their story just develops so naturally and I loved watching both of these characters grow and become stronger. The narrators did an incredible job bringing these characters to life and the audiobook is an absolute must for this one!!

Story
Faye agreed to her sister’s brilliant idea to sneak into the Hunter’s Moon ball. A night the vampires in attendance held sacred, lusting under the eerie glow of the blood red moon. Faye was no vampire. She wasn’t even a race that possessed magic. Her ceremony failed, marking her an Anarian. A mortal without magic. After a run in with the Shadow Prince, Faye begins dreaming of him. His yearnful gaze leaves her feeling cherished after she wakes. A pleasant daydream, since men like him didn’t exist. Not for women like her.

This book was so unique and I really enjoyed diving into this world. I was instantly captivated by the dark prince (Rune/Voshki) and I loved his sweet nature when he first met the FMC, Faye, and his dark protector side. It did take me some time (and his groveling) for him to get back in my good graces after a miscommunication issue, but he was so endearing and I loved his fierce protectiveness over Faye. Faye was a force to be reckoned with herself and I loved how even though she was “powerless” she was never helpless. She was a very authentic character and I felt like I saw a lot of myself in her and her relationship with others. This book itself is an absolute work of art. I loved listening to the narrators while doing chores and felt like they both did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life!

Story
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

This book had me laughing out loud within the first chapter and I was completely sucked in by the second. Josh, the MMC, was the most psychotic, chaotic, endearing golden retriever of a MMC I’ve ever read and I loved it. Aly was just as chaotic and double the sass. Her thought process had me laughing out loud so many times. I listened to this book through Audible and I am SO glad that I did. Beyond the story itself being fun, both narrators brought the story to life and did phenomenal with their parts. The spice was spicin’ and overall this book was such a fun read!

This book: PNR
I went into this book blind and really enjoyed the multiple layers of this story as well as the character depth and development. Selene is a complex, lovable, and relatable character who faces the unique challenege of memory loss related to the use of her magic. The way that she has navigated her life with this complication is brilliant and I love her “can do” spirit and attitude. I am honestly still really split on the MMC, Memnon. He is super possessive, dominant, and adoring along with an unhealthy dose of revenge obsessed. I will say I find myself starting to love him and then hating him all over again. I’m really excited to see what happens in book 2 and I am hoping to end up loving him!

The narrators were FAN-freaking-tastic in this book!
This book has the same great back and forth banter as book one in the series and the audible narrations are so well done! This book gives us a look at Lark, who is Sloans best friend, and Lachlan which is the oldest Kane brother. They get thrown together through definitely unconventional situations but I enjoyed watching as the chemistry built between them. Lachlan had the perfect blend of broody possessiveness and charm. I also really loved when Lark opened up about her struggles to just be who she “really” is vs what people are expecting of her.

Story
Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me. Cade Eaton is 13 years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes. He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

This book was a light hearted, romantic comedy that kept me on my toes laughing. I never knew what Willa (the FMC) was going to say or do next and I really enjoyed her character. Cade was definitely the grumpy to this grumpy/sunshine duo but when you learn about his backstory it makes sense why he is the way he is. He’s an amazing dad and such a dependable and lovable character. The witty back and forth banter definitely made this story!

Story
I'm not so different from most people. Like everyone else, I have life goals. Goal #1: Become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am. Goal #2: Convince the four men I've been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete. Goal #3: Figure out who/what I am and why I can't remember anything past the five years I've been haunting this quad. Goal #4: Eat popcorn. See? Perfectly normal. Sort of. Gotta start small, after all. It's not like anyone else is perfect either.

The narrator did a fantastic job with this one!
This was such a fun and unique spin to a PNR. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded and the world building was really well done. I really loved the FMC’s fearless protectiveness and how she is sassy & unapologetically quirky but wears her heart on her sleeve. The guys definitely ticked me off several times throughout the book but I am definitely already falling for 2 of them by the end of book 1. That cliffy was BRUTAL so I’m glad I already have book 2 downloaded!

Somehow, the tattered strings of our tragedies tangled and tightened into an unlikely bond. We decided not to take the plunge and agreed to check on each other every Valentine’s Day until school ended. Same time. One roof. Two restless souls. We kept our promise for three years.

This book: Slow burn, forbidden love, age gap, and a "broken love story”
Omg this book- I was NOT ready. The end of part one absolutely killed me- like I was sobbing 😭
Part two was phenomenal. I also sobbed like a baby several times through it. I just loved that I never knew where this book was going to go next. The story was so unexpected and beautiful.
Part three and the epilogue are absolutely stunning and gave me happy tears and chills.
I would highly recommend going into this blind so I don’t want my review to give anything away but you absolutely need to read this story. This book is absolutely breathtaking!

For years, I've dreamt of what college life could bring, and while some things changed, there was always one constant. It didn't matter how wild I allowed my imagination to run, it always led me to the same place in the end. It led me to him. My future was clear, and he was it. Until suddenly, he wasn't. Now there's a new man in my life, one who isn't afraid to go after what he wants, and what he wants...is me.

This book sat on my TBR for wayyyyy too long and I’ll admit it took me a few chapters to get hooked but once I was, I was ALL in. I absolutely loved the character development and truly felt like I have been in the some of the positions that Ari finds herself in and let me tell you- it hurt to relive. Noah is absolutely dreamy and 100% husband/book husband material. He’s perfection. Also the twists and turns in this book are gut wrenching!
