Enjoying Series
Reviewed: 12-09-10
I'm enjoying the series much more than I thought I would. Enjoyed it more when Kelly was the narrator in Born of Night. Fred doesn't give enough differences between the voices for me. And his female voices are grating, to say the least. Didn't like him when he read the Dark-Hunter series, either. Sigh!!!!

Sugar Daddy was an ok book. I enjoyed Liberty and the way the book took us through her growth. I just wish Gag would have shown up earlier in the story. The narrator was ok...just a little too high pitched. However, Blue-Eyed Devil(next book in the series) more than made up for this slow moving story. It's narrator and story were wonderful!!

I was upset when I was informed they were changing narrators in the middle of the series. I thought..."Here we go again." I started the book, then stopped. Adjusting to the new "Mac" took a few times. Then it clicked!! I wish Natalie would have read the previous versions. She has a more calming, mature voice. I LOVE her as Mac. And Phil...well he's WONDERFUl as the male voices!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this series. However, the endings are giving me anxiety attacks. LOL I hate waiting a YEAR before the next book in the series comes out...but that's because I'm one who snuck and opened my xmas presents early, hating to wait for the surprise. LOL Thank you Karen for this wonderful series!!!

Least Favorite of the Series So Far
Reviewed: 08-31-09
7th Book in the Troubleshooters Series, and my least favorite. I found myself zoning out throught the story. Kinda boring. And what's with the narrators?! Why would you have male and female readers, only to have them alternating chapters? That's just plain goofy and it's SO distracting. The male should read the male voices and the female read the female voices.

I loved the story of Muldoon and DaCosta. However...the narrator made it a trying listen. She at least needs to "deepen" her male voices. What a distraction listenening to. You had to really concentrate on who was speaking. I hate that. Otherwise, a great story.

I really liked the book. Narration was good...story line...good. I only wish that Fang and Amy's story would have been more "connected" rather than their story be more of their individual stories. Otherwise...I recommend!
