One of my favorites. I come back to it pretty regularly. I love the second-chance trope and no one does it better than Lily.

Story
Brady is my overprotective best friend, and I love him like this. He's so much bigger than me and makes me feel safe. We are opposites in so many ways, but when I'm cuddled up against him and he reads to me, all those differences fade away. Brady promises to be friends forever, but what will he say when he finds out my secret? Will I lose my best friend and the boy I love more than life itself?

He makes me lose all control. Ex-Special Forces and current CEO of Sinro Enterprises, I sacrifice my personal life and health to lead mercenary teams dedicated to wiping out high-profile criminals. My working hours are endless. My schedule is rigid. I leave no room for normal things like relationships. Until a pretty little thief breaks into my high-rise and shatters what I'd come to believe was peace. I find myself hesitating to pull the trigger for the first time.

The performance was pretty awesome but I found the story lacking. I felt like the story was just missing something. I struggled to get into it.

Story
Beast has been disfigured in a fire, but he's covered his skin with tattoos to make sure no one mistakes his scars for weakness. The accident not only hurt his body, but damaged his soul and self-esteem, so he's wrapped himself in a tight cocoon of violence and mayhem where no one can reach him. Until one night, when he finds a young man covered in blood in their clubhouse. Sweet, innocent, and as beautiful as an angel fallen from heaven, Laurent pulls on all of Beast's heartstrings.

I loved it. I will say I wish they had added a little more time to the ending. Don’t get me wrong, it was great. So great in fact, I wish they had made it just a little longer. I do see there is another book with Beast and Laurent so maybe I’ll be satisfied after reading that.

Story
After Fazil Kurt breaks up with his girlfriend, a business trip to Seattle offers some much-needed time away. Sent by S. R. Anderson Consulting, Fazil is there to help audit Singularity Storage, a company they are trying to save. His first discovery is intriguing to say the least: One of Singularity's engineers is Todd Douglas, Fazil's first love. He knows better than to get personally involved on a job like this. Back in high school, Todd broke Fazil's heart more times than he could count, but both men have grown so much since then - and Fazil never could say no to Todd....

I ended up hating both main characters. The story was nonsensical and unsatisfying. The only saving grace was the narrator.

Story
In Unscripted Love, Kyle and Chaz learn that the best-laid plans often go awry, the heart has a mind of its own, and the greatest love is unscripted. Psychic Emory Jackson and former black-ops specialist Jonathon Silver are broken men whose jagged edges could somehow align perfectly to form something whole and beautiful in Someone to Call My Own. In Nobody's Prince Charming, Darren McCoy and Wren Davison are two opposites that shouldn't mix well. But passions ignite once the men stop fighting their attraction, but will it be enough to overcome their differences?

I felt like the first quarter of the first book was the author telling me the story instead of showing me. The first book got kinda good in the middle but the end was really drawn-out. I couldn't finish the second one. I have heard a lot of books narrated by Joel Leslie, and he is kind of a hit and miss for me. I think I prefer him reading books that require an accent from the UK.
