Story
Though many of us can point to patterns of brokenness in our lives, we don't know why they're there. No matter how hard we work, we can't seem to outrun the very things that break our hearts. That's because our everyday setbacks are rooted in our unaddressed wounds. Guided by seminary-trained licensed trauma therapist Kobe Campbell, Why Am I Like This? will help you develop courage as you dare to turn your heart toward your brokenness, uncover uncomfortable truths, and learn how to invite God into your past and present pain.

This is more than just another self help book. This book is like a therapy session in each chapter. It’s one of those books that read me. This is my 2nd go around and I’ll be doing the accompanied pdf this time around. I love when authors read their own books and this one doesn’t disappoint. You can here the sincerity of heart in every word.
It’s beautifully written and I’ve gifted a copy to my sister as well. My prayer is that many more will not only choose to read or listen to this book but take the deep end and go all in. It’s time to heal yal!!!!

Story
The human heart was created with a great capacity to love. But along with that comes a great capacity to feel pain. There is no denying that those who love us, who are closest to us, can wound us the most profoundly. That kind of pain can be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. And it can feel even more impossible to continue loving in the face of it. Yet that is exactly what we are called to do. Sharing his own story of pain, pastor and best-selling author Jentezen Franklin shows us how to find the strength, courage, and motivation to set aside the hurt, see others as God sees them, and reach out in love.

Story
Everyone wants to be loved - to find someone who will stick with them through all of life's ups and downs, someone who is in it for the long haul. But in a world where dating is increasingly based on split-second decisions and geared toward casual relationships rather than marriage, it's easy for single people to feel discouraged, used, or unworthy of true love. Jonathan "JP" Pokluda wants to dispel the myths, misconceptions, and fairy tales you've believed about dating and replace them with the truth from the One who invented marriage and created you to crave a relationship.

Story
Terence McKenna hypothesizes that as the North African jungles receded, giving way to savannas and grasslands near the end of the most recent ice age, a branch of our arboreal primate ancestors left the forest canopy and began living in the open areas beyond. There they experimented with new varieties of foods as they adapted, physically and mentally, to the environment. Among the new foods found in this environment were psilocybin-containing mushrooms.

This should come with a warning label of do not listen while driving. Super dull boring and monotonous robotic voice. I couldn’t listen more than two minutes.

You can tell it was written by a Christian

Very straight forward and easy to comprehend. Although true throughout there were quite a few moments spent on debunking myths held by Christianity concerning reiki but at the same time what may come off as closed minded statements like “the only real way to abundance is hard work” are spoke in the book. Overall a pretty good read of you can look past the time dedicated to the above mentioned.
