Heartbreakingly honest.

Fearlessly, honestly and excellently written. Though I wish there was an updated version as nurses now do most of the bedside care with the little to no doctor to patient face to face interaction in the present day.

Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Excellent read; beautiful, sarcastically/darkly funny and utterly heartbreaking. The honesty is remarkable. I appreciate her sharing her story. Definitely a must for any person who knows this American Sweetheart. Thank you, Jennette, for sharing your story.

Love this, however...

This is a very pleasing and excellent story to listen to. I love the characters, kingdoms and story line. However, the female characters are extremely flat and one demential. They are extremely annoying. That being said, the rest of the characters and story line make up for the women as, thankfully, they are not main characters. I really recommend this series if you love fantasy, adventuring, feel-good novels. love the dragons and dwarfs so very much! along with the other fantasy creatures.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Beautifully written and exquisitely narrated! The book as a stand alone is excellent but, given this performance it brings it to life and makes you feel like you know the characters, places and experiences. I recommend to any!

Story
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Story
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Don't Waste Your Time
Reviewed: 03-14-18
I wish I read the reviews before buying this. I was such a huge Sword of Truth fan but this is not even close to those works, well at least the earlier books. There are not only huge holes in the story line but, forgotten reasons for certain things (like the fact Nicci is barren because that was the price for aquiring because magic not her choice to not have children). Also, there is no character development, the plot is stale (yay another book where someone can't use their gift, huge surprise), the characters are flat and so many repeated lines that I felt as though I was reading a book meant for people with short term memory loss. Not to mention that Nicci is supposed to be this all powerful sorceresses and just melting a wall fatigues her and she has no substance at all. I hope others have a different view but, this was a huge disappoinment for me.
