Simply Boring

I couldn't get interested in the story or invested in the characters as the reader's voice was so very wrong for this or any book intended to be action packed. He has a lovely voice, that I would enjoy listening to if I were listening to a children's book or a guided meditation to put me to sleep. But his voice was so soothing I couldn't focus on the story at all. I struggled through a few chapters, but simply couldn't take it any more.

I really enjoyed this story and do wish there was more. I liked the time travel twist. While I enjoyed the narrator I don't feel she was right for this story. I would like to hear her do a story set in England, but our heroine is supposed to be American, it was hard to remember that with the beautiful and cultured English accent of the narrator.

Don't Read - Non Consensual From the Start

Couldn't even get past the first chapter. The lead male character starts assaulting the lead female from nearly the start. I'm not a prude, at all, but he never asked for her permission before starting to nibble, lick and kiss her ear like it was his due. They hadn't been on a date, hadn't been flirting, they were in a public restaurant. He approached her in a hallway leading to the bathrooms. This may not seem like assault to some, but it is. It is not ok for anyone to touch another person, in ANY sexual way without asking for permission first.

Overall I enjoyed listening to this. I found the story a bit muddy and at times hard to follow. While I did enjoy listening to Will Wheaton narrate, hearing his voice and having the two main character name be William and Weasley, did make me giggle sometimes. My brain couldn't help but think of the actor and his Star Trek character. All in all though it was an interesting tale and made me think.
