Story
When the fiery new girl, Jill MacGregor, in their international High School in the country of Turkey, captures Rick Foster’s heart, he is desperate to impress her. He conjures up a bodacious lie, but her capriciousness gets them both in hot water, imprisoned in the Russian Soviet embassy. With hidden inheritances, Cold War tensions, and the Beatles as a surprising soundtrack, "Danger 9b: and his Goddess of Fortune”, based on true experiences, is a Young Adult rom-com immersed in international intrigue as a fast-paced adventure.

The Tales we Tell as Young Adults!

A charming coming of age story with phenomenal production value
Reviewed: 01-08-24
A warm and inviting story told with passion and stylish touches, it’s hard to put down. It has the appeal of Stephen King’s ‘Stand by Me’ but with a loving care and compassion for the characters in a unique setting in Turkey. It’s narrated with great care and inflection that really carries the story through. I want more Danger9b !

Story
Maria Bamford is a comedian’s comedian (an outsider among outsiders) and has forever fought to find a place to belong. From struggling with an eating disorder as a child of the 1980s, to navigating a career in the arts (and medical debt and psychiatric institutionalization), she has tried just about every method possible to not only be a part of the world, but to want to be a part of it. In Bamford’s “trademark blend of disarming intimacy and dark whimsy” (Publishers Weekly), Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult brings us on a quest to participate in something.
