Story
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Eye Opener to Live your Best Life
Reviewed: 02-21-24
This book felt like it was written just for me. It takes you from feeling not enough and needing more, to opening you're eyes about how truly great you are and that you are enough. It has great suggestions to enjoy life more, how to be your most authentic self, and how to share a purpose filled life. I will be sure to check out some of the books the author recommended as well as some others of hers. I usually hate self help books, but this was written in a way that she is just having coffee with you. Loved it

Overwhelming True Story
Reviewed: 06-01-23
When I heard this was based on a true story, the Foster Pearent in me had to read it. Asheart wrenching it is to heat the tory, as an educator, it's good to always know the warning signs to look out for. As a parent, if your child ever comes to you, please believe them, and protect them. If you are a relative of a child, make sure children know they can tell you anything ad that you will always be there for them. Kids should never have to fight these battles alone.

Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Story
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.
