Oh my goodness gracious! I don’t leave reviews very often but I am soooo glad and thankful that they finally switched narrators. Imogen made the characters come to life (finally got a Scottish accent for Rory) and made it so much easier to listen along and to know which character was actually talking. Martha basically just read the book which was really hard to follow along. I found myself thinking several times in just book “wait…who’s talking again?” I would have to wait until a name or something was mentioned and while I was thinking the female character was talking, 5 seconds later the female character actually starts talking and nope that was the male before. I love the storylines of all of the Hiverton books. I just wish Imogen had read all of them…

I initially got this audiobook because of “Cut and Run” and the cast but I agree with one of the other reviews...great cast and great potential. However, rampant sex jokes are not my cup of tea. I didn’t like this story at all but because of the cast, I wanted to give it a chance. So, I listened...to the entire story and, unfortunately, I found myself wanting my time back. I would give a half star or less if it were an option...

Story
Samantha is a professional seductress and con artist with a heart of gold. If she talked about her work, she’d tell you she only pilfers organs for medical research and that she only takes one kidney, and she only steals those kidneys from dishonest people. It’s hell on her social life. Abe is the doctor and Sam's partner in crime. He isn’t much of a criminal. Except for the kidney stealing. But he’s using that money to fund his research that he anticipates will be able to cure diabetes. So, all for a good cause...? You decide. Of course, it's hell on his social life.

I don’t usually write reviews but I absolutely loved this!!! I was smiling and laughing out loud throughout the whole thing!!! Each person was perfectly fit for their character. It just made the book that much more fun to listen to!

Story
Being labelled a player never stopped me from being successful with women. Until I met Truly Harbury. Truly was the first girl who ever turned me down. And she might just be the first woman with whom I ever fall in love. When an emergency means she needs my help running her family’s charity, I’m happy to introduce her to the glitz and glamour of the London business world - taking her to dinners, coaching her through speeches, zipping up the sexy evening gown I helped her pick out. The more time we spend together, the more I want to convince her I’m not a man to avoid.

I don’t normally give reviews but here goes...while the performances were good, I had a hard time getting over Truly’s character and how she over thought EVERY-freaking-THING without ever discussing any of her thoughts with anyone. All the while, just assuming she was correct and that she knew exactly how Noah felt about her without ever asking him a single question. People change and she hadn’t seen or spoken to him in 4 years. How in the world does she think she knows every thought in his head. Unfortunately, I found myself rolling my eyes at several parts, which for me is not good.

Love this book!

I have read this book many times and absolutely love it. However, when listening to the audio version for the first time, some of the characters sounded a little older/different than I had envisioned in my mind. Anna is the stand out one that sounded older than imagined. This led to a slight “eh” feeling on the audible version. With this in mind, I still love this book and will probably be listening to it again as I just love the story :)
