Well-written but sad story

Overall
3 out of 5 stars

The story was well-researched and well-written, but knowing the sad ending ahead and throughout made the book difficult to finish. Glad I listened to it, but likely will not listen to the book again.

A tough account to listen to, but well worth it. Alan Sklar does a phenomenal job narrating.

The length of the book is a little daunting, but well worth it. If you have seen the movie, there are many twists you will either love or hate, but make the plot of revenge even sweeter. There are some points that seem a little slow, but the details prove to be incredibly important. Edmund is quite an orchestrator of events and the character is given great depth. Also, Bill Homewood does a great job giving unique voices to all the characters, especially Abbé Faria in the Chateau d'If. A must listen classic!
