Poetic writing. Compelling story and pacing. Reminds one of Conrad. Perfect narrator - his soft Irish lilt brings the story to life.

Gotta be at least the third time I’ve listened to this one. PGW at his best, so so funny. Johnny C is an absolute genius at giving the characters just the right tone

Charming but it's more a love story than a mystery. Also, it is quite long.

Clear and well-defined presentation. Lively and accessible to tech and non-tech readers. In spite of the silly title, it is a really balanced presentation of the topic - principles & implications nicely paired with the technology.

Good story - multi dimensional and well paced. Credible capture of WW II setting. Would be fine for young adult listeners except for very explicit sex detail in love scenes.

Reads like fine fiction and is actually true. Amazing story of a time, set of historical events, and an astonishing account of a man's deep connection with elephants. Kipling would have loved this book.

A lively, accessible look at this important book, a key entry in the Western canon of philosophy. Mr. Blackburn's book is worth reading both because of what it is and what is not - points he makes in the introduction. He makes no pretense that this is a scholarly work intended to supplant Leo Strauss or the works of any other Plato scholar. Rather, he is a smart insightful reader and takes us along with his exploration and discovery. It is worth reading as a primer if you have never read the Republic or as as a refreshed and new look if you have already studied it.

Well written, Well read, Artfully non-political. Really well researched. Very credible account, particularly because Mr. Farrow remains focused on the topic and does not stray into the political/partisan potholes so readily available along his investigative track. As a result, he has compiled an extraordinary set interviews and a comprehensive perspective.

Good companion book to the Creature from Jekyll Island. Provides an accessible exposition of the issues with the progressive abstraction of money and banking from a rational basis. Although this is composed to provide a 'for dummies' presentation, you'll actually find it more comprehensible if you listen to 'The Creature from Jekyll Island' first - essential reading and properly alarming, particularly if encountering the subject for the first time.

Brilliantly written and read. Eoin Colfer perfectly captures and carries forward Douglas Adams's humor and quirky view. Plus, Colfer adds some sly humor of his own. See the "fighters off Orion..." passage. A great gift to all of us fans. Simon Jones's reading is perfect - particularly if you were a fan of Stephen Fry's reading of the first book.
