A collection of top operatives, the Taskforce was commissioned by the highest levels of government, kept secret from the media and even Congress. The best of the Taskforce bunch, Pike Logan knows the greatest threat to American security is one or two idealogues. Unfortunately for them, they’ve just crossed Pike’s path.

the relationship of two great characters

the two main characters drove the reader through plenty of action, conflict, heartbreak, and even humor. I found it to be a compelling story. Bravo!

The story was good, characters were interesting. and it was action packed, but the conclusion was too brief as if it was an after thought.

I loved it he first time
Reviewed: 03-28-24
I loved it the first time, but the second time was even better!
I believe it was Tier One that locked me into this genre. The action was described with such exactness. The characters were created with such care, their thinking, their mannerisms, their humor, dedication, and love and so much more.
So, one day I decided to go back to my library and revisit all of it. One book after the other and I left the story with a feeling of awe. Thank you.

I've run into this several times listening to military thrillers. The writer rushes the ending. if it's a good story, I think the reader is invested in the chatacters. Personally, I'd like more than a "and they lived happily ever after". I really enjoyed this story written by someone who knows what he's talking about.

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Fantastic! I just got lost in this thriller. The characters were interesting and memorable,, the settings were beautifully descriptive and transported me to many of the places I have been. I'll be listening to the next one in the series. Hope Porter is the narrator.

That was a great story! I loved it. I listened to it on my walks and couldn't wait to get started each evening. To the author: The characters were very compelling and I'm hoping that I'll meet them again in another one of your books. What? You couldn't even give us a kiss at the end? I have a problem with that.
