this book was good enough to hold my interest, but was a tiny bit repetitive. the narrator often sounds like a squirrel on crack. overall it was a pretty decent book and I'm not mad about it.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this author as this is completely new territory for me but I found myself thoroughly engaged and loving these characters. The male narrator is kinda terrible, but he grew on me and I found that for me, he just ended up adding to the charm of Shadow.

what a $hitty way to end a book!

it was hard to get in to with all the back and forth, missing the wife's perspective, then it just ends! no explanation, no epilogue, no book 2 to follow up with. Dont bother till the next book is out and pray it has an actual ending.

The characters are easier to swallow. This book isn't filled with prideful, self loathing, self sacrificing, self righteous boobs who cant have an actual conversation. No "I love you but I dont deserve you because I married someone who treated me badly and squandered our fortunes"
I have enjoyed all the books so far but this one is way better if you're over all the idiocy.

I knew these two would happen, you could feel it in the previous books. I was so excited for this and it was everything I hoped for! I only gave it a 4 because there's so much crap going on in the background that I got lost a couple of times and had to go back to see what I missed. and one part I wasnt sure about till the very end, I thought I was still missing something, but it was later explained.

I blindly picked this book, I didnt read reviews or the summary. I had been looking off and on for 2 hours for a book and couldnt find anything, then decided to just pick one. when it started I thought, oh sh!t, this is gonna suck. the narrator is gonna over play her role. I was wrong. its predictable in some scenarios, but also comical. made me laugh out loud comical, not just a quiet chuckle to myself. it made me misty eyed, and it annoyed me that the lead chick was such a whiney brat in the big plot twist. too judgmental. but overall it was a great listen, and one I'd listen to more then once.
