This book was fantastic! I thought her voice was going to annoy me in the beginning, but it ended up being very soothing. I highly recommend reading.

Amazing book

I had low expectations for this book. I've read too many books, articles, etc about losing weight and I never implemented any of the advice. But this book was different. Erica explains why we over eat and how to change our eating habits. Her voice is so soothing. I'm going to listen to it a second time.

Story
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Wow.... just wow....

This was the best book I've read in a really, really long time. I bought it because I love Trevor Noah on the Daily Show and I thought it would be a light hearted, funny read. It turned out to be nothing of what I expected. This book made me feel an entire spectrum of emotions. I laughed and I cried. I never imagined that the funny guy I watch on The Daily Show lived such an interesting life, to say the least. As if the story wasn't good enough, Trevor's reading of it makes it that much better. Read this book. You will absolutely not regret it.

Story
The difficulties experienced by adult children of narcissists can manifest themselves in many ways - for example, physical self-loathing that takes the form of overeating, anorexia, or bulimia; a self-destructive streak that causes poor job performance and rocky personal relationships; or a struggle with the self that is perpetuated in the adult's interaction with his or her own children. These dilemmas are both common and correctable, Elan Golomb tells us.

Great book!

I really, really enjoyed this book. Very eye opening. My one and only gripe would be that I wish it gave a little more insight into how to fix, or change, the traits/feelings/etc that we have due to our narcissistic parents. She makes suggestions here and there, but being more straight forward would be helpful. Overall great book though. Worth reading!
