Story
Savannah was unlike any city Derek had ever been to. For the first time since his arrival in Cydaria, Derek actually met a respectable city lord. Natalie Savannah and the city she ruled were much more than he’d imagined. With this combination, Derek made the decision to put down roots by building a shop from scratch and moving his people in. He was even able to get Silvi the beloved kitchen that she so desired, along with personally meeting Alanah Swan and learning new things about the new system he was thrown into—things that only someone who was truly strong would know.

Story
Torga, the man once known as “The Devourer,” survived the destruction of his own universe by the skin of his teeth. Now he's faced with an even more terrifying ordeal: rebuilding that universe from scratch. At least he's not alone this time around. He’s saved his dear wife, Reina, by granting her the unparalleled abilities of a goddess, but he’s also painted an enormous target on her back in the process.

While the narrator did keep me interested the entire book, the range of characters he can provide is too limited for this story. The male characters where fine but he was unable to perform the female parts adequately enough to disassociate them from the male voices. The story itself was a great buildup for the next phase of the MC’s life. If a female narrator was to be added to accompany the female characters. This would be a 5/5 hands down. I do miss travis and the depth of emotion he can portray, but i look forward to what BJ can bring to this story. He just needs someone to fill the female rolls.

Story
Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

The only negative thing about this book series so far I have found is the amount of rambling the MC does. Other then that amazing story so far.

I love this series and will continue to listen to it. Neil doesn’t have the range that Todd did. That being said he is still doing a great job. Best of luck to you Neil and Michael, looking forward to the rest of this series.

Fantastic book series so far (small spoiler warning)
Reviewed: 05-25-21
The only complaint I have is the near final fight and how it played out versus how easy it would have been if the MC had reacted faster to the antagonists’ antics. I get it was for the plot development but i felt it was just a little too drawn out. But other then that, Dante well done, Alex and Marissa a pleasure to listen to your work again as always. Looking forward to the next installment of this series.
