Story
Have you ever desired, deep within your soul, to make a comfortable full-time living from a farming enterprise? Too often people dare not even vocalize this desire because it seems absurd. It's like thinking the unthinkable. After all, the farm population is dwindling. It takes too much capital to start. The pay is too low. The working conditions are dusty, smelly and noisy: Not the place to raise a family. This is all true, and more, for most farmers.

Way beyond expectations

Not only does this book offer valuable farming advice in every line, it offers principles to live by. It's so refreshing to listen to someone who has a firm grasp on process as much as principle and philosophy. Usually they are mutually exclusive among the "experts."

there's always been this inexplicable feeling whenever I would come home from a big adventure. I've tried forever to explain to people why I go do those crazy things or how it makes me feel. this book is everything I wish I could have said and everything I've been experiencing and exactly why I get out there. this book is beautifully written never mind the great story about his Arctic adventure, and it's all backed up by science. without being boring. I wish I could give this book a 10 and I wish I could give a copy to every person who struggles and can't explain their own anxiety.

great point but...

terrible delivery. This book was incredibly difficult to follow. The business examples could have been told in a better format. Tell their story, not their data points, captivate the reader, don't bore them with technical jargon. the stories should be an example for the point, not an insider description of the imdustry. I think the information here is valuable but very dry. Reads like a dissertation. the final chapter is really all you need to understand the point, the rest is fluff.
