Story
The One Who Searched is a spellbinding story of Detective Bill Drozd, a veteran police officer searching for a methodical serial killer who has been leaving a trail of bodies for twenty-five years. What Detective Drozd does not realize, however, is this killer is also searching for something: peace at the end of his path, which he defines as a reckoning.

I loved all of the Monessen and surrounding area references since that is where I grew up. But I would have loved this book even if I hadn’t. This book kept me listening because of the interesting story line and plot twists. I was able to visualize what was happening as though I was watching a movie. Great book and I can’t wait to see what the author has in store next.

Story
The Charleston streets are dressed for the holidays in sophisticated Southern style: topiaries adorned with red ribbons, garland entwined with white lights, and poinsettias potted in gold planters. The high-class bordello in a stately historic home is certainly no exception. When Private Investigator Liz Talbot's dear friend, Olivia, swears she saw a dead body in the parlor of this bordello, one Olivia accidentally co-owns, Liz promptly comes to her aid.

The fact that this could happen to us so easily makes me cringe. I love that there were strong female characters in all of the stories who didn’t back down.
