Story
A chance meeting. A hunky hockey player. A fake romance. Hardly an ordinary day in the life of Poppy Hart. My days usually consist of agonizing over my failing restaurant, worrying about my mountain of debt, and nursing my broken heart. Everything changes when I bump into a man in the coffee shop and claim him as my new boyfriend. To my absolute horror, he turns out to be hockey's most renowned bad boy, Dallas Burke. To my absolute delight, he goes along with my story.

This was a fun listen. Most have us have been in Poppy’s shoes with the mean girl. I thought both of the narrators were great with the exception of the chuckling he did when speaking for Poppy. Too much. Great feels and closed door, which I appreciate. The main characters both grew and became better versions of themselves. Overall very enjoyable.

Fixie Farr has always lived by her father’s motto: “Family first.” And since her dad passed away, leaving his charming housewares store in the hands of his wife and children, Fixie spends all her time picking up the slack from her siblings instead of striking out on her own. It was ok but I almost quit listening several times. It was laborious at times. There were nice family realizations but it took so long for her to figure out Overall fine. Narrator was good.

Lots of trope but a decent story

I liked the characters and their stories, I enjoyed the secondary characters as well and look forward to their stories. However it was hard to connect with the characters sometimes because of the narration and even harder to tell who was talking. I can’t recommend listening to this book, maybe buy it and read it instead. I get that it saves money & time to use the generated narrator but I listen to audio books for the nuances that the narrators bring. This did not work for me. I thought I’d give it a try but will not be listening to another book that is not narrated by a human.

Lovely story

Sad to say I agree with the others about the narrator. She read it just fine but with very little change in inflection and several times I couldn’t tell who was speaking. That being said, it was a lovely story to end the series with. Full of hope, happiness and love. Really glad to get Avery and Colin’s story.
