Story
Henry never realized he was special. Sure, he’s an engineer who served his country, but when the virus hit, he found himself alone in a nearly empty world. That’s the key, though: nearly empty. There’s no one left who has the technical know-how to make the world run again...except for Henry. For humanity to survive, he will have to rebuild society out of the motley crew of survivors. It might be impossible, but at the same time, Henry has always loved a challenge.

Story
One day, I’m married, living in Seattle, and magic isn’t real. The next, I’m divorced and living in the guest room of my ex’s hotter-than-sin cousin’s place in Savannah and talking to an animated skeleton named Robert. I have to admit, Robert isn’t my worst date. At 41, I didn’t think I’d be starting over. But I’ll be damned if my ex thinks I’m down and out because he pulled a fast one on me. When a job comes my way that offers me a chance to use my childhood training in the shadow world, I take it.

Story
History books call it the Purge, and it altered the course of human history. A breed of seemingly unkillable creatures that once lurked in the shadows of mankind's past finally revealed themselves. Driven by an insatiable lust for human blood, these monsters - dubbed "ghouls" by some - consumed the globe in one bloody, awful night.

I enjoyed the story. As the title says, it has everything a good Zombie book should. The narrator did a great job with capturing the personality of the characters.

very much a military theme
Reviewed: 04-27-19
This was very much a military themed zombie book. it was good with lots of gun information and military jargon. The characters were very believable as being Army members. I didn't like the down play of the National Guard The book plays on the old National Guard with the weekend warrior thought process. The current National Guard is a patriotic, citizens first, highly trained trained fighting force. Overall I enjoyed the book.

Story
After a long winter spent hunkering down in Wyoming, Bree, Nate, and the gang are back on the road. The harsh temperatures up in the northern regions might have decimated the undead scourge somewhat, but soon they have to face reality: it's not just zombies that are out there to hunt people down and kill them. For humanity to have a fighting chance to rebuild a semblance of civilization, everyone will have to work together - and resources are scarce. Someone will have to go out there and face the danger.

Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.
