Orphaned triplets, circus, orphanage, and found family.
Gives Series of Unfortunate Events and Matilda vibes. The kids loved it. Even the 3 year old and I enjoyed listening to it with them!

Story
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

There is no flaw in this book. TJR is such a talented writer… the only think is a need an epilogue of what happens after the end. I need to know. 😢

It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires...and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire. My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.

Why choose?
Reviewed: 12-26-23
I am normally okay with a why choose but the dom/sub aspect kinda made it ick to me. It’s just not my vibe, but I get why people do enjoy it so much. Also, the description in the spicy scenes… ick. There is more smut than plot, but then ends on a cliffhanger which is.. well confusing. But this feels very factual to real political leaders.

Slow start but definitely worth sticking it out!
Reviewed: 10-22-23
I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow start and hard to follow, but once the story and world building gets completed the storyline is so good! I love the mystery element. The ancestry was an integral part of this book too.
This was my first fantasy, but I definitely would recommend it!

Story
The stories were all wrong—Hook was never the villain. For two centuries, all of the Darling women have disappeared on their 18th birthday. Sometimes they’re gone for only a day, some a week or a month. But they always return broken. Now, on the afternoon of my 18th birthday, my mother is running around the house making sure all the windows are barred and the doors locked. But it’s pointless. Because when night falls, he comes for me. And this time, the Never King and the Lost Boys aren’t willing to let me go.

This Peter Pan retelling is one of my favorites so far! It is dark and twist, plus there is a really good plot! It is a short book so I flew through it quickly. I also the why choose factor of this book 🥵🥵. I am ready to read the rest in the series. I listened To the audiobook and there are multiple narrators and they all fit perfectly!

enemies to lovers small town romance
Reviewed: 12-28-22
This book is such a great small town enemies to lovers romance. The banter is great and the romance is not lacking. There is great character building and real life situations. Lucy does a great job of making you be intrenched in what is going to happen. Of course there is a third act break-up, per usual, but it is a HEA.
I totally loved this book. The audio is great too with the dual narration.
