Story
A Hobbit, mint Tolkien sok más írása, gyermekeinek szóló történetként indult. Először 1937-ben jelent meg és ma méltán világhírű gyermekmese. De több is ennél. Mindenkihez szól, akiben még ott él a gyermek. A világ, ahol játszódik, korai változata Középföldének. De már megtalálhatók benne Tolkien világának legfontosabb alkotóelemei; tündék, törpök, hobbitok, Gandalf a mágus, és felbukkan a Gyűrű is. Magában is elbűvölő, fantasztikus mese, mely egyben A Gyűrűk Urának előzménye.

Story
Science fiction can often seem to be pure imaginative fantasy, but many authors are more fluent in real science than many readers and viewers may realize. Professor Charles L. Adler of St. Mary’s College of Maryland was the perfect choice for this subject, as he is both a longtime science-fiction fan and a real-world scientist. Professor Adler’s talent for using literature to shine a light on science - both the accurate and not-so-accurate versions employed by creators, spanning two centuries - makes this course a great survey for fans of both science fact and science fiction.

Elloren Gardner and her friends were only seeking to right a few wrongs when they rescued a Selkie and freed a military dragon. While the Resistance struggles to fight back against the harsh rulings of the Mage Council, more and more Gardnerian soldiers descend upon the University…led by none other than Lukas Grey, now commander of the nearby military base. Though Elloren tries to keep him at arm's length, Lukas is determined to tie himself to her.

Complex and deep story

The first volume ot this book was slow, I wanted to stop it. The second half of first volume was interesting.
This volume, the second one slowly built up the background of the main characters and the real action starts at third volume.
It absolutely worth to read but give enough time to the story to grow up.
The narrator was perfect, she used different tones.

A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched Ithicana be conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learns her husband, Aren, has been captured in battle, Lara knows there is only one reason her father is keeping him alive: as bait for his traitorous daughter. And it is bait she fully intends to take. Risking her life to the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king, but for liberating the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared.

Getting rid of this curse is the only way to get my life back. Unfortunately, dragon magic is every bit as sneaky and deadly as the monsters behind it, and just as hard to beat.
