Love this series. Book 3 does a lot to build The Remaning's "Universe" but it's awesome.
Friggin Jerry though.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

WTF Did I Just Read?
Reviewed: 12-01-14
This was, hands down, one of the oddest books I've ever read/listened to. The comparison to an adult version of a Scooby Doo story is apt. It's like that, but somehow even more insane.
I will say, I liked the first 2/3 of the book a lot. The last 1/3 just goes completely off the rails and even for someone who loves weird books, it gets WEIRD.
For those of you expecting a thrilling suspenseful story of awe and horror, um, this isn't it. It's odd, it's playful, it's a bit immature but it is kind of worth the time you put in.
I have no idea if I recommend it or not.

Story
To Captain Lee Harden, Project Hometown feels like a distant dream and the completion of his mission seems unattainable. Wounded and weaponless, he has stumbled upon a group of survivors that seems willing to help. But a tragedy in the group causes a deep rift to come to light and forces him into action. In the chaos of the world outside, Lee is pursued by a new threat: someone who will stop at nothing to get what he has.

Captain Lee Harden FTW!

One of my favorite series I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I'm writing this review after listening to all 4 books and I think this one (Book 2) is actually my favorite.
Really, really awesome plot and I 100% recommend it.
Christian Rummel's narration is simply incredible, BTW.

Oh, So This Is What the Movie Could Have Been?
Reviewed: 06-16-14
It's really a shame that the movie of the same name may lead some people to ignore the book or Audible book, because this is a TREMENDOUS audiobook that you can get truly lost in.
Very well narrated, enjoyable but still poop-your-pants-intense. Maybe don't listen to it at work though like I did. A few times I was so engrossed in a story that someone touched my shoulder to get my attention and I nearly screamed.
