Story
It should have been easy. I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death. I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent. The worst part is that I should have known better. Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes. “Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.” Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. 100 shows. My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god.

I am so in love with the writer, the narrators, and this story. A great book is hard to find and this book was so well written from the beginning to end. It has been a while since I've been this engaged in a story. THE HUMOR...PERFECTION. The supporting characters were interesting and their stories evolving was an interesting aspect.
I love a well written dark tale. L.J. Shen is one of my fav writers.

Between her waitressing job, volunteer work, and college classes, there are never enough hours in Maggie Reilly’s day. Especially not for a relationship. Luckily, she’s got the perfect arrangement: a lover she meets three or four times a year. But when she shows up at the hotel expecting to hop into bed with one man, she accidentally ends up with another - Ben Barrett, Hollywood’s most notorious bad boy.

A few chapters in and I’m bored to death. The opening was slow and monotonous. I hung in there for quite a few chapters to see if it climaxed. Nope! It may have been a good book if it had more variances in the storyline.

Story
They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it's true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover. Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn't leaving until he takes me with him.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! Vischous was arrogant, mean, hateful, a&&whole but when you learn his story you love to love him. I love the dynamics of falling in love with someone seemingly unloveable. The storyline, the buildup, I love that throughout the course of falling in love, he never changed. I love seeing how his crew changed and matured.
All in all, my heart bled for both Amelia and Vic throughout this storyline. Great writing and narration was on point.

I loved this story. From the beginning, you were intrigued with the darkness of Marcus. I also loved Cora from the beginning, however, her naivety grows tiresome after a while. I think in the next book she'll have more of a backbone. I didn't appreciate a Mafia King would not check to see who is driving the car or his goons would not notice the takeover towards the end. It was quite unbelievable. The narrator was strange when delivering some of Cora's lines but it could be expected since he was reading both roles. All in all, I loved this book, the author, and the narrator.

Story
When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn’t matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same. But that was where my fairy tale ended. Years later, a one-night stand during the darkest time imaginable gave us a little girl. It was nothing compared to the pitch black that consumed me when I was forced to leave her with Caven for good. At the end of every fairy tale, the happily ever after is the one thing that remains consistent. It wasn’t going to be mine.

After reading the 1st Book, I didn't think I would make it through the whole series. However, with each book, the plot thickened, and the content of the storyline improved. I liked book 1 and I loved book 3. Although, Celie's decisions were questionable and it was odd that while going through these chaotic events the character would be thinking about sex hmmm. None the less, this book was my favorite. I absolutely love it.

"Missed Potential"
Reviewed: 01-03-20
Here I am in Chapter 22 and remain disappointed at the loss of potential in this storyline. The writer missed the opportunity to focus on the development of the story and migrated towards unnecessary scenes of screwing. Hey, I love a great sex scene but I downloaded this due to the potential of the development of the story. It's all cornball screwing...boring. Celia was a tortured young lady set on vengeance who missed so many opportunities to attempt to carry out her plan.

Story
It all started with the bereavement flowers with my name on them. Not the best way to wake up, right? I work in a flower shop. I know a funeral arrangement when I see one. I know a killer when I see one, too. And one is standing in my hospital room right now, straight behind the man who saved my life. I can’t tell anyone the truth, because that’s the fastest way to really die. So I do the next best thing. I “lose” my memory. I fake my amnesia. Pretending not to remember a brutal attempted murder has its perks.

Meli Raine is an amazing writer. The storyline opens up, and the visuals and descriptions provided or so clear and precise, you feel like you're right there. The pace of the story is perfect I also loved that Lily wasn't some simpering, pathetic little miss. She had fight and bite. Throughout the book, Good mysteries, for me, are hard to find. However, throughout this read, I continuously checked off possible shooters. Duff, coffee shop friend, Silas, and Dad (yep). By the end of book 1, Jane and Romeo remain suspects, though, I doubt Romeo is the shooter...that would be too easy.
Definitely read book 2.

Story
The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
