Loved the story but too short!!
I was getting into the story when it abruptly ended when it was getting good. I am bummed I wasted a credit for this. such potential to be turned into a series.

Story
Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership. In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner…are there actually good vampires?

I absolutely loved this book. The story pulled me in from the 1st sentence. I am currently on the 3rd book in the Huntress series. I came back to leave a review because the voice she gives for Bones is so disappointing. He is this gorgeous, tall, broad, muscle bound, well indowed, sexi vampire that sounds like a 5'6 nerd with a small dick. 😄 I am still listening because I love the series but the voice for Bones and the majority of all the men voices are absolutely horrible. rant over...

Story
When everything is on the line, how far will you go to protect those you love? What if the cost of saving them is your soul? Would you pay it? I thought I was prepared for what was coming; that if I made sacrifices, I could win this game. I’m no longer afraid of the darkness or the monsters that hide in the shadows. I’ve become what I feared most, allowing it in to protect those I loved. Sometimes it takes a monster to win. Sometimes to fight monsters, you have to become one. My only fear is…can I come back from it?

I loved the story!!!

I also loved that the author used characters from her other series "The Fae Chronicles" all of them are good reads. I am anxious to read the rest of the series. I am disappointed the readers mispronounced Metaline Falls, Spokane and Zuhruk. those are just the ones I noticed. i am from a small town N.E. of Spokane and South of Metaline Falls. but that didnt ruin the book for me. The storyline was awesome and instantly had my attention.

Story
The king's magnificent palace was built in a matter of weeks. No one saw the builders, no villagers are allowed beyond the gilded gate, and only one servant has ever left. The haunted look in her eyes as she was recaptured by the palace guards is something Josie, daughter of the village doctor, has never forgotten. For Josie, the palace is a mystery that grows more intriguing after she meets the captain of the guards, a man known only as Hammer, as mysterious and captivating as the palace itself. Whispers of magic fuel Josie's desire to uncover the truth, but an ordinary girl like her can only dream of ever being invited inside.
