My mother has lived alone since her husband passed away almost 13 years ago. She has done well until recently. I live 2 hours away and we often visited. Recently, the visiting had become more crucial and more frequent. It’s gotten to that point that my once-per-week trips can’t keep up with what needs to be done…for the house and for her.

My need for a resource like this has been growing. Unexplained bruises, missed bill payments (with an 820 credit score), two packages of checks from the same bank delivered days apart…you get the idea, and this book hits on all of those. The need for this book as a resource came to a head recently when my daughter, 19 and in college, called and told me Granny was lost. I immediately called my mother and spent an hour on the phone navigating her home. This was aided by being able to track her through the location services on her phone. Still, an hour!! No exaggeration. I stayed on the phone with her until she pulled into her garage. That was a good thing since she was confused about turning right or left less than a mile from her neighborhood.

This book helped me realize what’s happening with my mother and how I can help. It shed insights into what she’s thinking and doing and why. I have to reprogram my approach to her and for her.

The narrator, mature and compassionate, tells the story in a kind and empathetic tone. The layout is excellent…phases of: a fictitious couple with one experiencing symptoms followed by what is happening internally to the victims
and then recommendations to help.

If you have someone aging, even if they are not showing symptoms, READ THIS BOOK!!

Another exciting and fun story from this crew. With characters to love and hate, you cheer, you get mad, you probably won’t cry, but you’ll enjoy it.

This book is for anyone who enjoys mystery, suspense, sci-fi, OR horror!

The plot was fascinating and complex. The characters were multifaceted and enjoyable to follow and "root for."

This book is probably classified as a horror, but don't let that scare you off if you are not a fan of that genre. Try it, I think you will like it!

So many PART 2s are disappointing compared to the first, especially when the first was as great as THE FINAL EMPIRE. Not surprisingly, that doe not hold true here. Like Book 2 of
STORM LIGHT ARCHIVES, this #2 fulfills the promise of Book 1 and delivers a fitting and engaging sequel.
Terrific narration, complex and evolving characters, and an epic quest lure you in and keep you there. If only I didn't have to sleep!!

Yes, I'm coining a term; "SANDERSON"-terrific stories, often trilogies, that combine fantastic worlds, mystical powers, and fascinatingly complex plots with characters who inspire and motivate! What a wonderful place Sanderson's mind would be to hang out with your friends.
This book launches us into the world of the Final Empire-what an ominous name, especially for Book 1 !!! The Emperor, who has ruled for generations, tightly controls all aspects of life in all the lands through his nobility class and using some intriguing creatures he has created, all while using a slave population for the more menial tasks. What's the difference between the slave and the noble? More than blood, the use of internally burning metals to perform super-human tasks dictates who has control.
What happens when someone with these special powers reproduces with a slave? Well, sometimes you get servants with super-human abilities who evolve to a point to organize a rebellion. Could that possibly work against a 1,000+ year old master of these powers? You'll have to read to find out!
Wonderful creatures and terrific character development proliferate throughout the story. Don't pick a favorite-it's too hard!!

If you've read the first few books in this series, you've learned to love the straight-forward leader of MHI. This terrific story focuses on Earl Harbinger and his approach to isolating a monster outbreak up north. In the process, he recruits new members to his organizations, finds a new rival, and even falls in love....monster style.

The first book of this series caught my eye because of the title; "Hard Magic." It's gripping, right? Well, the description almost discouraged me, but the name was so great, I just had to give it a run...SO glad I did !!
The stories center around the evolution of magic into mainstream society. It takes place in the early 20th century, and Larry Correia does a terrific job of tying in history with his story. Incredible talents, Good vs. Evil, action, excitement, complex characters...just a terrific job.
This is installment three of the series. My son and I debate whether it is the final book or not. He did wrap things up well, but I think there's lenity of more adventures for these terrific characters. Give it a shot...it's worth it, and it's better after the first two in the series.

I am NOT a zombie book/film/story fan. I do enjoy a good super hero movie, but not normally a book. This trilogy intrigues me, and this is book 1. It's an interesting mix of humanization, Armageddon, unnatural abilities.....weird, but it works for me. The cast does a superb job, and different cast members performing the roles really "tells" the story. Indulge yourself, and give it a shot.
