Fun but heartfelt

This story was a really fun listen. The characters were developed nicely and the pace was perfect. The narrator’s performance held the tone wonderfully.

Another great Sanderson book!

As an avid fantasy reader, Brandon Sanderson is my favorite writer in the genre. I have never read anything by him I haven’t liked. Tress and the Emerald Sea is no different. Sanderson’s world building is wonderful as ever, and I enjoyed following Tress on her adventure and following her relationships with those around her. The themes in this novel are timeless, a coming of age story where the character learns her worth in the world around her and the importance of love and compassion. I only deducted 1 star from the story because I found some of the narrator (Hoid) “one-liners” a bit wearing and the narrator character somewhat unlikeable. Of course, this may be exactly what Sanderson was going for, and like all people, not all personalities will mesh well. I didn’t mesh well with the narrator.
Kramer is always an excellent narrator and I always enjoy listening to the books he reads.

This book, oh my

Absolutely in love with this book. I bought it the day it came out, ironically, as I was having a bit of riders block writing my own book. There is not one single thing that I would complain about when it comes to this book. The narration is above and beyond the content, pacing character development, and everything in between is out of this world. The moons themselves would struggle to oppose the vibrancy with which this book is written. I could not recommend it enough.

So much fun!

Loved how the story unfolded and the characters grew. Looking forward to reading more of Sanderson’s works.

Perfect engaging mood booster

Loved the characters, plot, pace and tone of this delightfully fast paced, witty, and wise story. A heroine’s Princess Bride with a story arc in which modest virtues grow plausibly into heroic successes. Perfect for grizzled adults and mild mannered young ladies.

Just Lovely

Such a charming yet deep story from Sanderson. I thoroughly enjoyed this and only wish there was more.
