Very different

I enjoyed how different this story was. It felt alittle long but I kept wanting to read to see where it was going. Others commented on being disappointed in the end. I was surprised at the choice made but not disappointed.

Makes you think
Reviewed: 10-11-18
I actually liked that the story was told backwards, although I felt at the end I would’ve liked to know what happened with the rest of the injured people.
I know abortion is a very controversial issue but I loved that the story told different points of view to really make you think about those choices. Jodi always makes you think but this subject matter is a very real issue that many people are slowed minded about.

Story
Elementary school teacher Jacqueline "Jacks" Morales's marriage was far from perfect, but even in its ups and downs it was predictable, familiar. Or at least she thought it was...until two police officers showed up at her door with devastating news. Her husband of eight years, the one who should have been on a business trip to Kansas, had suffered a fatal car accident in Hawaii. And he wasn't alone.

In This Is Me, Chrissy Metz shares her story with a raw honesty that will leave listeners both surprised but also inspired. Infused with the same authenticity she brings to her starring role, Chrissy's This Is Me is so much more than your standard Hollywood memoir or collection of personal essays. She embraces the spirit of Shonda Rhimes' Year of Yes and shares how she has applied the lessons she learned from both setbacks and successes. A born entertainer, Chrissy finds light in even her darkest moments and leaves the listener feeling they are spending time with a friend who gets it.

Although at times unbelieveable, I thought the story was sweet and loved the characters. I enjoyed both on and off the island. I found the narrarators voice to be happy and enthusiastic the way I'd expect Anna to be. I agree her voice didn't change enough for TJ but it didn't bother me.

Very moving. Couldn't put it down
Reviewed: 06-10-17
I always love Diane Chamberlains books. I wish a previous reviewer hadn't told me the end since it would have been a huge surprise but I was okay with how it ended. How anyone could say this book was boring, I don't know. I couldn't put it down. It was a bit unbelievable but I really got attached to the characters and love how the story evolved and told us bits of the accident throughout the book and how both sisters found themselves.
