I enjoyed this story when it came out on Kindle, and I enjoyed even more now that it’s on audible. The story is fun, slightly gritty, a dash of mystery, and redemption. So all in all good story with a HEA. Narration was fantastic and look forward to more of this authors items being put in audible format.

What can I say? These narrators capture the characters perfectly. The story is one as old as time, and it unfolds well as we get to know the main characters. I’m glad I picked this up and hope we hear more about any others on this team.

The first time I read this book I had difficulty getting past the first 1/4 of the book, so I picked it up again, because Mary Calmes is genius, and I had to give it another try. I bought the audio book and loved it. The dual authors do a fantastic job, and the story keeps tripping along as they find their way to forever.

Best friend to lover story is fun to listen to, but what the heck is up with staying friends with an emotionally abusive ex? Love you, don’t love you, love you, don’t love you, marry me, jilt you at the alter and go on honeymoon w other guy met at bar, then love you, marry me? No? But we can still be BFFs? Hell-to-the-no, and why doesn’t she get a punch to the face like the other MC? Seems only fair.
Michael Dean is amazing with bringing these characters to life!

If you like the Bourne stories then you’d probably like this one. It’s an action story of two men whom come together to find out who has cut them loose, why, and make them pay.
The story starts out strong, builds, explores, and ends with a just right HEA.
Sure the action takes a back seat after a bit, but I appreciated the break and character development. The narrator did a bang up job and kept my attention throughout.

The premise of the story is not unimaginable, what is - are the other characters and interactions. Young woman intimidating a cowboy, I don't think so. And the "steamy" scenes were so long and unbelievable and boring. Had to fast forward to real dialog. But then was assaulted by more improbably dialog, interactions, and unbelievable characters.
If you like this story, more power to you, but definitely not for me.
John Solo did pretty well with the narration, but just not enough gruff for a cowboy story.

He’s also a straight, closed-off, emotionless icicle. Who cares if he’s also drop dead gorgeous, with eyes you could get lost in? Tom is beautiful, colorful, strong, creative, and my eyes can’t stop following him everywhere he goes. He also works for my parents, which means he’s off limits. That, and I haven’t told them that I’m bi yet.

When I first heard the excerpt of one of my favorite books of Hazzard, I was worried that the narration would be weird, but no, it is excellent.
Have been a fan of the story since the release, and hoping for this in audible.
It doesn’t disappoint. Love it!
