I enjoyed this book and liked that interesting characters were added as the story progressed. The characters were likable and some I didn't like. Multifaceted characters is the stamp of a good author. I recommend this book. A shout out to the author in doing her own narration.

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator was great. I have followed the author for many years on his inspirational site, and his story puts much of his beliefs in a magical story format. I am interested to continue his books to see how the greater story unfolds. Congratulations to the author on his publishing success.

Caspian Anderson is a translator for the United Nations—or so he’s led everyone to believe. No one suspects that mild-mannered Caspian, with his baggy clothes and sensible car, is actually an elite assassin for the US government. And that’s just how he wants it. For ten years, Caspian has worked under the code name Elias for Onyx, a black program deep within the Department of Homeland Security. His latest mission takes him to Switzerland to kill a target tied to a human trafficking ring. There, Caspian stumbles onto a web of conspiracies involving high-level political figures.

I liked the unassuming facade of Casper. His craftiness and his penchant to be able to blend. An assassin with a heart.

Tender and Top Notch Romance
Reviewed: 08-16-24
This is the second book I have read by this author and is well written and the characters are relatable. What I like about her writing is the emotions she transfers to the reader. There are only a few authors that get that right. The sex scenes are not numerous or overdone which is great. This author is in league with Amy Harmon, another great author.
The narrator was also great and did the male voice realistic and temperament of the female came out as fiesty and a dreamer. Loved this book. Now on to another book by this author.

Story
Jane McCaffrey is only back in her hometown of Seneca Falls because of her father’s death. She swears she’ll leave again forever—it’s not like her childhood home holds any happy memories. But Jane hadn’t planned on bumping into Nik… The boy she fell hard for was a skinny teenager with messy hair and his glasses askew. Now he’s broad-shouldered and stands well over six feet tall: but his deep brown eyes are just the same. And when he breathes her name and caresses the fresh bruise on her cheek—like he can’t help but touch her—Jane is thrown right back to the best and worst time of her life.

A Story Well Told
Reviewed: 08-15-24
This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author. She did a beautiful and accurate job of showing the trauma and very real fears of living with an abusive partner or family member. Unless you have lived in that situation you can never know the helplessness of that kind of life.
The narrator was great. A very well written story that expressed the true emotions and fears involved in domestic situations.
I will definitely read more books by this author.

What they uncover leads them into a realm of the supernatural beyond anything Lacey ever imagined; her years on the LAPD did nothing to prepare her for dealing with witches and shape-shifters. With clues few and far between, can they determine who the murderer is before they themselves become the target of deadly curses and feral shape-shifter beasts?

Yea, A New Author and New Series for me
Reviewed: 08-09-24
I stumbled on this little treasure and glad I did. I'm an avid reader and Audible listener. Many times re-reading books I enjoy. The characters were well developed and I liked the Native American spin also along with the psychic aspect. The narration was great and I have already bought the second in the series. Usually, I listen to longer books, but found this one a quick and enjoyable listen.
