Story
Gertrude, Eugenia, and Dee-Dee Porch do not belong. They don’t belong in the snooty town of Antiquarium, where all girls have to go to etiquette school and the only dog allowed is the bichon frise. They don’t belong with their adoptive family, where all their cousins are named Lavinia and their Aunt has more brooches than books. And they certainly don’t belong at Mrs. Wintermacher’s etiquette school—they’re far more interested in science. After getting kicked out of the last etiquette school that would take them, the girls expect to be sent away for good...

Pure Madcap Mayhem – and I Loved Every Second

I think I liked it even more than the kids

This kept us laughing, literally out loud, on our drives to school this week. It’s sheer absurdist delight, and everyone who needs a smile should walk, NAY, RUN, to pick up this audiobook.

Story
When the body of reality TV star Desiree Pierce is found on a playground in the Bronx the morning after her twenty-fifth birthday party, the police and the media are quick to declare her death an overdose. A tragedy, certainly, but not a crime. Yet Columbia grad student Lena—principled, headstrong, and allergic to the spotlight—knows that can’t be the case. Despite the bitter truth that the two hadn’t spoken in two years, they were half-sisters. Lena knew Desiree. And Desiree would never travel above 125th Street. Something is very wrong with the facts. So why is no one listening?

A perfect spring read. Sweet, cute, and with a solid gold heart
Reviewed: 03-04-22
“While you were sleeping” is perhaps my favorite romcom of all time so when I read that this book coming out had a similar premise I was sold even before I read it. The fact that the book was just so much better than I could have imagined was the gold at the end of the rainbow! We meet a socially awkward main character with a heart of gold, a hot boy who has an accident and his brooding brother. The premise may seem familiar like a favorite pair of slippers but it is carried out with*chef’s kiss*. The characters feel real, the writing is extremely readable and the narrator does a wonderful job. I got heart zings, tingles, laughs, sympathetic cringes… everything I wanted and more.

Story
For as long as she can remember, Sara Brooks has dreamed of going to Harvard. Every single choice she's made in life has led her to her picture-perfect early application. So when she gets an email saying she’s been deferred to the regular admission pool, she is devastated. It's when Sara visits her guidance counselor that she learns the truth: While she always assumed she was first in her class, she's actually third. And what's worse, she's been knocked off the top spot by Charles Chase, an entitled, preppy doucher who's got all the advantages in the world.

Fun, snarky and perfect for fall reading!

The author does a *wonderful* job bringing Sara to life in all her over-acheiever snarky glory. A 'life didn't go as planned' book but with a fresh take on college applications, teaming up with the enemy to take down a spoiled rich kid, and lots of swoony moments. <3

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.
