Story
A classic thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Crichton, Sphere is a bravura demonstration of what he does better than anyone: riveting storytelling that combines frighteningly plausible, cutting-edge science and technology with pulse-pounding action and serious chills.

One of my favorite books ever!

What did you love best about Sphere?
Never a boring moment. Scott of course is impeccable. A change from the ordinary.
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to many of Scott Brick's reads. This is a ten for sure.
Any additional comments?
This is like a move. I hope to see one.
Off now to look for another Chricton book!

Story
Art critic Jeremy Grove is found dead, his face frozen in a mask of terror. His body temperature is grotesquely high; he is discovered in a room barricaded from the inside; the smell of brimstone is everywhere... and the unmistakable imprint of a claw is burned into the wall. As more bodies are discovered - their only connection the bizarre but identical manner of death - the world begins to wonder if the Devil has, in fact, come to collect his due.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Way too long with hardly any action. I quit listening to this, but I did put it back in after listening to a different book. Hope it ends finally.
I do like the pendergast series, but this is disappointing.
What was most disappointing about Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child ’s story?
Too long, no action
Any additional comments?
I'm still planning on more Pendergast novels

Anti-terrorist Task Force agent John Corey and his wife, FBI agent Kate Mayfield, have been posted overseas to Sana'a, Yemen—one of the most dangerous places in the Middle East. While there, they will be working with a small team to track down one of the masterminds behind the USS Cole bombing: A high-ranking Al Qaeda operative known as The Panther. Ruthless and elusive, he's wanted for multiple terrorist acts and murders—and the US Government is determined to bring him down, no matter the cost.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Way too long, with very little action but DeMille is still 'one' of my favorites.
in ten years I quit listening to about 3 books, this ALMOST was next. I listened to it as something to listen too, and because I like Cory and his smart aleck demeanor.
Would you recommend The Panther to your friends? Why or why not?
Something to listen to, but not near as good as his others.
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Perfect, it's what got me through all of it.
Good going (as usual) Scott!
