I never read a story with a mother and daughter team like this one. While I did enjoy the story it almost feels wrong to say that since their relationship was so very dysfunctional. The mental abuse and stress dumped upon this girl was making me so angry it was even stressing me out. Oddly enough the author has such a beautiful way with words that I felt fully immersed in her childhood good and bad. The narrator was a perfect choice for this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I am a true crime junkie and this has been on my list to read for awhile. Its interesting to hear what all goes into a case like this from the people in the thick of it. I just wish it wasn't abridged because it did seem somewhat rushed.

This book tells a few different sorted stories - the murders of the Osage Indians, the tension between the Osage and the white settlers who were interested in their wealth and the start of the FBI.

I am really surprised I never heard about this piece of history. The book is riveting. I really loved almost everything about it. I loved Will Patton's narration but sadly Ann Marie Lee's narration was a big slow and sing song for my taste. But aside from that everyone should read/listen to this story. Its shocking how so many never heard of these murders.

If you want all the dirt on the Sunset strip in the 80s, look no further. Bobbie doesn't hold back when it comes to all the details of her life in Hollywood during the heavy metal era. Its a great autobiography that is highly entertaining. She is a great narrator as well.

Raider family life seemed surprisingly ordinary and boring considering the secrets their father was hiding. This book is definitely focusing on the day to day life of Kerri. If you are looking for an in-depth view into living with a killer, you don’t get what your expecting since her dad seemed for the most part very normal. She does go into the impact of her father getting arrested and having to deal with a life time of lies as well as dealing with the trauma of his crimes. Just note that if your looking for a traditional true crime book, this isn't it. It’s definitely written to let you know this family was just that a regular family that knew nothing about Dad. Its really just a very uneventful autobiography with some of her father's crimes peppered in here and there. She does seem to be a bit too focused on her issues and emotions while just barely glossing over the impact it had on the rest of her family. My biggest complaint is I wish the narrator would have picked a different tone to read the parts of the daughter. It was just too whining, annoying and weak. All the other parts were read fine but since this book is focused on Kerri you'll have to enough a lot of bad narration.
