And everything was going as planned when I met Briar. Beautiful. Charismatic. Sexy. But marriage is hard, and after seven years, I feel like I'm failing. Then, a figure from my past enters the picture.

Wow! I loved this book! I was really nervous going in, especially with the cheating aspect, but I should have trusted SC, I know that I love her books and this was no expection! For anyone else worried about it, don't be, it's done well and doesn't feel like betrayal.
Even with taboo subjects or areas that are "outside the norm" SC always brings it home with all of the feels and heat! And boy did she bring the spice!
Some of the early descriptions of their marriage really hit home for me and I just felt so connected to the characters. I also always love a bi-awakening!
The narration was on point and they did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life!

The narration was on point and so hot!! Absolutely perfect, especially being Duet!
If you've been putting this off, don't! It's a dark romcom and honestly so good! I cannot give this enough praise!

I was expecting a ring on my thirtieth birthday. What I didn't see coming was my boyfriend and business partner dumping me because he couldn't bear the idea of our bland sex life for the rest of our lives. When an opportunity arises to spend my summer in Las Vegas, I stumble upon my hot new neighbor and his photography studio. We strike a simple deal. He's the teacher, and I'm his student. My lesson is learning to love the body I have. In exchange, I'm going to save his business. I have exactly one summer to unearth the most confident version of myself before I go home and return to reality.

I loved this story, the way Finn builds up Avery is so cute! Her insecurities hit a little close to home, but it helped me feel really connected with her.
The narration was great and I felt added how hot the dirty talk in this book was.
Finn does call Avery "Queen" a lot, but it was something I could overlook as I felt she deserved that title!

Overall, I really enjoyed the storyline of this book, the cult culture joining in with serial killer is right up my alley. I enjoy Katee Roberts' writing style.
I found the narration quite hard to follow and cringy at some parts. The shouting when some inner thoughts were going on was a strange choice in my opinion, as sometimes I felt like sass would have worked much better.
This was a fun listen all the same.

Story
At seventeen, Lenora Hope hung her sister with a rope. Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope's End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

Every time I thought I'd figured out the direction the book was taking I was proved wrong, a general feeling while reading Riley Sager's work.
The performance was well done, I loved having 2 narrators, one for Kit and one for the letters. if really added to the feel of the story.
A truly great listen, and 100% worth a credit!

The first letter arrived the day my husband was buried. It was postmarked from the state penitentiary, and contained a single sentence: I’ll wait forever if I have to. It was signed by Dante, a man I didn’t know. Out of simple curiosity, I wrote back to ask him what exactly he was waiting for. His reply? You.

Honestly, this gave me goosebumps! I was nervous to start this, but I'm so glad I did. If you are also unsure, if you like Thrillers and spicy books, then I think you'll like this one. It's important to know that while it's spicy, it's not a romance.
The narration was amazing, being Duet-Narration made it 100 times hotter and chilling!
I usually guess twists early on, but I couldn't see this one coming.

Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

This was a really fun, spicy, romance that was just so cute. It's low angst and is on the Audible plus catalogue.
It's a really easy listen to help soothe your soul!
It did take me a little while to get use to the female narrators voice for the MMC however the male narrator was brilliant.
Overall, this is a great listen, especially if your low on credits or you need a little light!

Book 2 didn't disappoint, it brought more depth to the plot and characters.
I did find the plot a little eye rolling and I saw most of the twists coming, but it's still enjoyable.
The performance from the narrators is amazing! I absolutely love the audiobooks for this!
There is a lot of spice in here and I really am here for it.

This was a great book by Sara Cate, she has such a way of taking taboo stories, making them so hot, and taking away any ick feeling from it.
The narration was really good, bringing the characters to life. My only small problem was that sometimes Cullen's name sounded like Colin, and it felt wrong.
Over all, this is a really fun listen, the plot is food, the spice is hot and Forbidden and on the plus side, the tension isn't their age gap or their student-teacher relationship.
