As a devastating hurricane approaches, as the benighted creations of Victor Helios begin to spin out of control, as New Orleans descends into chaos and the future of humanity hangs in the balance, the only hope rests with Victor's first, failed attempt to build the perfect human. Deucalion's centuries-old history began as the original manifestation of a soulless vision - and it is fated to end in the ultimate confrontation between a damned creature and his mad creator. But first they must face a monstrosity not even Victor's malignant mind could have conceived.

Beautiful Story, Wonderfully Done!
I had read this, years ago. Never finished the series, so decided to start over. Odd is such a lovely character. Great sense of humor. Your heart breaks for him, at times. The overall story was wonderful, as always. Dean Koontz is a favorite author. I always enjoy his writing style. The narrator did an amazing job. Great performance. I have to rely, more and more, on audio books because of an eye issue. It's wonderful to be drawn into a story like this. I will be moving on to the next in the series.

What a great story. l would say Thrawn is more of an antihero instead of a villain. Being a long time Star Wars fan and someone who read the old Thrawn Trilogy (Heir to the Empire and etc.) I found this story quite interesting. I actually ended up rooting for Thrawn. It does a great job of letting you see things through his perspective. Wonderful job!

I enjoyed the story overall. But it was interrupted and ruined by multiple defective spots in the recording. There were multiple places where the file/recording skipped and/or repeated. Words/sentences are missing. You need to clean up your file. Bad product.
