I cannot believe I've waited this long to read these books. I'm a huge Bond fan; have all the movies. Even though the books are different I've found I've enjoyed the books better. Fleming was a great writer. He is thorough without being explicit. Great performer! Really really enjoyed it!

Love Bond. I could see scenes from several of the movies in this book......in all of them really. I don't understand how people expect "all" books to be written like they are today, with all the political correctness. It was the '50s', so expect 50's writing. I don't think this book was racist at all and agree with the review before mine.....pro not negative. Interesting to see how the English saw us Americans, period. Great book, good reading.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mr. Nigh. I also love the fact that Mr. Fleming can write such detailed books and leave out the explicitness that is written today. I so regret not reading these books sooner.....way sooner. I am so familiar with the movies. Even though they differ, the books are as enjoyable.....and this coming from a female. Great book, great great books!

You've got Bo Bo from the Lily Bard series, Manfred from Harper Connelly series, Arthur from Aurora Tea Garden series, Quinn and Barry from Sookie Stackhouse series. A great small easy going town with the supernaturals. It has a laid back feeling with several mysteries going on. I really enjoyed it because it's not about the sex starved love story crap that seems to be the rage today. I would put it down as a "cozy" mystery book with a touch of supernatural. Can't wait for the next!
