Story
Imagine that everyone you have ever known or loved was forced against their will into a state of demonic possession and spiritual slavery. Imagine an unholy cabal of the world's richest and most powerful men directing this sinister plan in order to cement their unbridled control of the planet. Imagine two heroes emerging from that darkness to do battle with the forces of evil.

An original story and concept which is lacking these days.

while eventually the narration grew on me.he needs practice. some of the characters he voiced were pretty good and other were so off the mark he didn't even hit the target much less hit it close to the bullseye. One time, he shot out 3 words fast but it was followed up with " he said slowly. The way he read the real main character, a woman, she came as a real "B" but I don't think that is how she was the entire book. the short coming of an audio book sometime I guess. all in all though when it was over and done with I liked it and look forward to the next one. I do hope they keep the same narrator for continuing, plus I guess it was his 1st time so there is that, I just hope that the director works with him better to improve his performance as I can see him being really great one day.

Story
In 1984, at the age of 20, Duff McKagan left his native Seattle - partly to pursue music, but mainly to get away from a host of heroin overdoses then-decimating his closest group of friends in the local punk scene. In LA only a few weeks and still living in his car, he answered a want ad for a bass player placed by someone who identified himself only as "Slash." Soon after, the most dangerous band in the world was born. Guns N' Roses went on to sell more than 100 million albums worldwide.

I really had no interest but after reading some of Duffs 2nd book I figured I'd give it a go. It was amazing. Duff is so humble and I love it. he defines a Rockstar as his job, not who he is.

Meh. OK story, Bad narration.
Reviewed: 04-01-22
If this was an actual episode it would be one of those ones that for some reason they decided to make a 2 parter. Story was okbut not anything more. the narration was bad though. the 1st few. chapters it seemed like he was jacked up on energy drinks, trying to make every scene exciting when many were much more low key. by the 7th chapter he calmed down a bit but sometimes he would revert back to it.

I watch the mini series as a kid and when I found this in audiobook I just knew I had to get it. As years go by thibgs are not always as good as you remembered them. This was not the case here. I listened to it every chance I could till the end and it did not disappoint. Fantastic book.
