Story
Can you answer this question: Who is the Antichrist and what is the Apocalypse? The earliest Christians following the Twelve Apostles often spoke and wrote about the arrival of the Antichrist before the return of Jesus Christ at the end of time. Best-selling author and professor Dr. Taylor Marshall provides an easy-to-understand collection of Church fathers, saints, and mystics as he pulls back the curtain on the end times prophecies of the Book of Revelation—the book originally called the Apocalypse.

Story
Alfred of Wessex has survived the Danish invasions, but though he now has an uneasy truce with his enemies, fresh Viking ships are arriving to plunder and enslave the Saxons. Those Vikings must be defeated, and Alfred's first move is to deny them their fortress on the Thames, the decayed Roman city of London. His weapon is Uhtred, a warrior of formidable reputation. But neither Alfred's wisdom, not Uhtred's prowess, might be enough to save Wessex when a Viking lord captures a prize of inestimable value.

Another disappointing performance

Who allowed this to happen? So very disappointing. There is a Benburb in the North of Ireland, is that what he is trying to say? Really you should learn how to to pronounce the place names at the very least. I love the story but sadly the narration again is dismal. Can I can't go on at this point, this bad narration is almost the straw that broke the camels back. Desperately want to wait until they "Bring back Jonathan Keeble." - That is what I want to do.
The story is keeping me going at this point. That is still good. Starting to see a pattern in the books shall see if that continues, may get boring but I doubt it.

Don’t understand why you would change narrators
Reviewed: 02-27-19
It’s too bad. It has ruined this series. Just not enjoying this one as much due to the narrator. It’s not terrible or the worst I have heard... But! An epic series such as The Saxon Chronicles deserves so much better.
Who is in charge? Who allowed this to happen? Yet!- I keep on listening, due to the writing and the story.
