(Disclaimer: I live in the south BUT, I am not now, nor ever have been a Southern Baptist. I’m a Catholic- Southern Baptists’ exact opposite).

I’ve know Beth Moore Bible Studies/Events for almost 20 years now. So, throughout those years she has shared parts of her life during Bible studies and Live Events often as anecdotes, sometimes funny and other times horribly sad. But, she never got completely and totally open about anything family related.

This book is the total opposite and the vulnerability of opening up fully has been cathartic for me as well (we share so many life experiences it’s scary).

I honestly love this book and, this more mature (We’re the same age 🙂) and vulnerable Beth. I am honestly proud of her perseverance and strength through these last few years (𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘛𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘛𝘖𝘋𝘈𝘠!) while being attacked by those same people who LOVED HER 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 2016 and her stance against Trump.
Well done, Girl♥️. You deserve to be heard!

Don’t listen to media, etc. who take his words out of context for their own spin! Read/Listen to the Book.
Let Harry’s voice finally speak for him, not a narrative that’s been made up behind palace walls.
He should know how it feels.
If you think you know what’s happening because you’ve heard it from this or that source, think again. The Monarchy is relevant because of the media and they play this game so everyone gets their money and titles acknowledged! This pokes a big hole in the Fairytale of Kings and Queens.
I hope that Harry and his wife and family can live happily and never have their truth silenced again!

This was the best WWII historical fiction I’ve read in a very long time (and I read or listen to A LOT!).

This book was excellent! The narrators did a fine job. The words ending in the “er” sound surprisingly, were spoken that way by colonist from England.

A very good autobiography by Dr. Sowell. Straightforward and unapologetic. He tells how he made it through hard work and by taking advantage of the opportunities available to him. As a young man, he was a Marxist and he knew what that meant unlike many today. As he matured and educated himself fully, his views changed. Even though Dr. Sowell is 90 years old, I think his works are more important than ever. His autobiography shows plainly that he did NOT come from a privileged upbringing.
Candice Owens recommended his books and since she is a brilliant and educated young woman, I have begun to study his writings.

I had this in my Audible library and since it was short...
But, then....WOW! Kate Mulgrew sounds like a young Maggie Smith! Francesca brings Marie Curie in all of her complexities completely to life!
I loved it!!

Wonderful, if rather short story. I listened to it in 2 days on and off.
But, this narrator... just NO! He reads the book like my little 6 year old granddaughter learning to read her first books!
Please, Audible, give this book a better chance by re-recording it with someone else! I think this audio does a disservice to Ms. Kagan’s book.

I just discovered Sarah Sundin’s writing with the very first in this series, “Sunrise at Normandy”, and I love it!
I hope there will be another book to complete the series about the last and youngest brother.
This is historical fiction in the genre of WWII and WWII Home Front that I absolutely cannot get enough of 😊
However, if you are offended by the Christian Faith being an integral part of the characters lives, then perhaps you may not enjoy this book, even though it isn’t the least bit judgmental.
I’m a Catholic Christian and I have read some “Christian” authors who put down the Catholic Faith as opposed to their own “Evangelical Protestant” beliefs. But, Ms. Sundin does not do this and even respects Catholics and other Christian Faiths.
I intend on listening to her other books on Audible and I REALLY HOPE AUDIBLE will consider making all her books available on audio!

First of all let me say, I love Kate Quinn's books! I gave The Huntress 5 stars even though I didn't think it was as good as The Alice Network

It took longer for me to really get into the book. I loved when the character of Nina was talking/remembering, etc. Also, the other male characters, Ian and Tony were very interesting. The protagonist, who is the main "Huntress" of the book was intriguing, as well, in a chilling way. But, there was just something about the character of Jordan that annoyed me.
It may have been because I listened to the book on my Audible app and the accent or the way the narrator portrayed her.... she just seemed or sounded rather silly and younger than her actual age.

But, the book picks up speed and by the end, I was in that zone of "can't put it down or cut it off". I would have liked a little more character development with The Huntress and also more of Nina's character and a bit less of Jordan's thoughts, etc.

However, I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Kate Quinn's, or anyone who loves the genre of WWII Resistance, Homefront, etc., in Historical Fiction. That happens to be my absolute favorite genre and I wish Audible would make it easier to look up books matching this genre.

This book set in WWII and right afterwards, is not like any I’ve read before. It was sad and depressing finding out how life became for those who lived under the Communist Regime once the War itself had ended. The bleakness described, however, does not lead to a conclusion of no hope, thankfully.
Overall, I recommend it.
