I always enjoy JD; however, I don’t think the narrator did justice to the story. She did a great job reading, but not a great job storytelling

The narrator does a super job with the male voices, however, I think a female would be a great addition for the female roles

Nicely done... Agatha like all of us has the right to change over time... Thanks for keeping her going, the changes are subtle and her core is still there.

It has a light hearted depth with many twists... Some times I rewind just to. Make sure I didn't miss a clue :-)

I have loved, loved, loved this series, however maybe there needs to be a final book and close the chapter on Stephanie. She has become stagnant as a character, and this ongoing sage with Morelli and Ranger is the same over and over again. I also feel like the humor is starting to just miss, and it comes off raunchy and low class. Stephanie’s character development needs to move forward now... make some positive life choices.

I’ve loved listening to this series, the characters are consistent from one book to the next and their dynamics are fun spirited (no pun intended) my only refinement though would be to combine two books together due to the next short listening time. I don’t feel you get as much for your money with the short books.

Some of the storylines parallels reality almost too closely… It’s frightening. I hope we never end up in the same conditions as Alex. The books are well written; the characters are deeply defined, and the storyline flows in a regular pattern. Part one of the book 5 seems a little out of place. However, the desire to give a general overview was probably necessary. I hope there’s a book 6 where the new normal is more uplifting.

I think Janet got her characters mixed up. I am an avid Janet Evanovich reader and was disappointed in this book. It feels like she crossed over Stephanie and Kate. The storyline had great potential, but the character building was weak. If you’ve read the other books in the series it feels like Janet forgot she had already built these characters... And they had solid relationships. It’s one thing to make a character quirky, it’s another thing to just make them appear silly. I can’t imagine Cosmo actually being in the FBI---his character is often times over the top ridiculous. The changing of co-authors was evident, as the book lost consistency of the already established series.

If you’ve never read any of the books in the series, nor other Evanovich series, you will probably enjoy the lighthearted events of this book. But if you are an avid reader of Evanovich series, I believe you too will be disappointed

I have enjoyed the Triple D series, and Dire Straits is no exception. However, Ms Odell allowed this story to fade out, the ending was lackluster. There was great opportunity to end on a bang... but not capitalized on... a little disappointed.
