Story
In Cruise Confidential, Brian David Bruns spills the dirt - or, in this case, the dirty water - on those romantic, fun-filled vacations at sea. His hilarious chronicle of the year he spent working for Carnival Cruise Lines takes listeners down into the areas where the crew works and lives, leaving listeners gasping with laughter as they're assaulted nonstop with events that range from the absurd to the utterly bizarre. Stewards fighting over food. Cutlery allowances and other nonsensical rules.

Great tales of life on a cruise ship.
Reviewed: 01-18-23
I loved the story of an American's escapades below decks in and on a cruise ship. I would have loved to hear follow up on some of the truly amazing things that happened but the stories generally just keep coming with little reference or regard for past incidents.
The story held my interest well but left me wanting more.

Story
Maggie Patel has landed her dream job at The New York Spectator; or, it would be, if she could get a decent story assignment. When a career-making interview finally lands on her desk, it’s with the last person she’d ever want to see again — Edward, the Crown Prince of Bairmorne...and her long-ago friend.

Cute story a little overshadowed by sound effects
Reviewed: 12-18-21
I enjoyed the story and the voice acting was excellent. What I didn't like were the musical interludes, sound effects (a beach, simulated crowd, a factory, all the sounds that weren't voices. If a story needs that much (over)production to be told, I'd rather listen to something else as the effects take me out of the story and into the real world, not what I want in escapist fiction.
The story was good if predictable, unavoidable given the subject matter. I liked the main characters which helped with my enjoyment of the story.

Story
I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

Disappointing plot twist
Reviewed: 05-14-18
I really liked the premise and the beginning of their story, but a plot twist revealed in the second act made it feel too much like a soap opera to me. The twist seemed thrown in there to create added tension as they were working out the problem of him playing the role of another man with half the book yet to go. So throw in complication number two - tada! - more plot.
I liked, not loved, the characters. As always, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt did a great job as voice actors.
