Story
Spanning the years 1900 to 1977, The Covenant of Water is set in Kerala, on South India’s Malabar Coast, and follows three generations of a family that suffers a peculiar affliction: in every generation, at least one person dies by drowning—and in Kerala, water is everywhere. At the turn of the century, a twelve-year-old girl from Kerala’s long-existing Christian community, grieving the death of her father, is sent by boat to her wedding, where she will meet her forty-year-old husband for the first time.

I love Audibke and most books. while the storyline was good and I had to finish because that is who I am, I absolutely hate the "F" bomb and it was used way to much. I was disappointed in that.

Stuck at work for long hours it was nice to have a story. I did not like the music in the background, it is very annoying and distracting. The story had me on the edge at times and looking over my shoulder.

I loved the story, the plot, and how the story sucked me in. My only complaint is I absolutely hate the F word.
