Story
The effects of being raised by a narcissistic mother can be catastrophic, with you having lasting traumatic effects. When you try to explain your situation to other people, they just don’t get it. You start to doubt yourself. Once you start doubting yourself, your narcissistic mother is gaining control, making you unsure of your judgment. She remembers incidents differently to how you remember them and denies other incidents even happened, also known as gaslighting.

the best psychology book

I felt this book truly helped to describe what a narcissistic Mother is and does. It gave me such insight I was dumbfounded about how much I didn't know and how much I ended up learning! It put words to things I experienced and validated what I went through. This is by far one of the best reads ever in my opinion and through the eyes of a daughter of a narcissist Mother.

It was just ok...
Reviewed: 09-01-20
I liked the fact that it presented others who are struggling with Mental illness but, the back and forth between the experiences of the characters(people) I feel didn't allow fluidity in the each of their stories. I would have preferred to hear each of their life experiences with mental illness separate and not all intertwined. Just my opinion...
