I think this may be the best book in the series thus far. Brown outdoes himself with the fast paced action sequences and some jaw dropping twists and turns. Heartbreak, betrayal and tragic loss make this one a poignant tale.

I throughly enjoyed this audiobook. The plot built on the previous book in the series and also furthered brand new characters and concepts. The action sequences were exciting. explosions, sword fights, military engagements, even a airborne assault! The performance was excellent and made the story even better. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series!

The origin of some of the Imperial guards finest troops. This book reads like a collection of short stories about the Tanith 1st and only. Not quite superhuman but very close, Gaunt's Ghosts narrowly avoid death by chaos, the inquisition, orks, and fellow guard units. The stories come together in the end in a climactic battle that has you guessing the fate of the regiment until the very end. Great characters, dialogue, and action scenes make up for a slightly disjointed plot. Fething great read!

A brief yet poignant listen! I found this title entertaining, unique, and profound. The authors technique of speaking from the perspective of demons to explain his, well understood, precepts of Christianity and human life is excellent. I will have to take notes on this one especially the "Toast of Screwtape" at the end very applicable to modern life in 2022.

One of the best Hours Heresy books in the series. Space marine battles, titan battles, and psychic melee. Read if you like the primarch, word bearers, ultramarines, and titans.

I really loved this book. I'm a fan of the Darkhorse podcast for it's evolutionary viewpoint on society, politics, and current events. This is akin to a greatest hits version of their show. Reason and science based analysis and solutions to the miasma of issues facing the WEIRD world today. The authors weave exciting personal narratives into well researched and very poignant discussions of how modern humans can navigate an ever changing world. It is dark at times but never depressing. Left me feeling better equipped to talk about and figure out parenting, transgenderism, food systems, addiction, and relationships. All while staying positive and entertaining. I can not recommend this listen enough!

Heard about this book from Joe Rogan a while back. Decided to listen to it Jan 2022. took me about a month of periodic listening, always well worth it. Starts as a general history of Comanche, Kiowa, and other "horse tribes" of the plains Indians. Then, the book focuses on Cynthia Ann Parker and her life as a white woman raised as a Comanche. I thought this was an excellent tale rich with emotion and historical detail. It was gruesome at times, as well as politically incorrect. So if that's your poison beware but if you can stomach the truth listen to this book!
