Great Love Story!
Reviewed: 02-10-24
While it seems the things that happen to Elizabeth Bennet in this story are terrible, the fast paced lovestory is endearing.
I accidentally bought another virtual voice reading after this one and listened to it first; I hated it! But this one lends itself to the lackluster virtual voice much better. There are only a few moments when a less monotonous voice would have been appreciated. All in all, very good.

Awesome!!

Everything about this variation is wonderful! The storyline is great as Darcy and Elizabeth are compromised in the very beginning, (shocking, I know.) Because of this, they get engaged early but the nefarious actions of our favorite villians and other problems give rise to an interesting story.
But the whole account benefits from Stevie Zimmerman's performance! She gives each character their own personality just through their individual voice. Excellent throughout and never boring. Enjoy!!

But she can't make sense of Darcy. He doesn't act like a traitor. He risks his own safety to save young women from the French. And how can she despise a man who loves puppies? Something about him doesn't add up - and she finds him far too attractive.

A Wonderful Everything!
Reviewed: 09-21-23
The storyline is exciting! All variations are 'what if' stories, but this one goes way beyond the relationship of Darcy and Elizabeth. This encompasses the wars between the French and the English, 'what if the French had won?' The beginning has the French already having had years of occupying forces in England and everyone has been in their roles. But, of course, everything is about to change.
Then there is Elizabeth Klett's performance! She has an amazing ability to make every voice distinct, even the numerous FRENCH male soldiers. Great job!

At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. Absolutely loved it!! I love syfy anytime, but my favorite is Time travel. This book entangles the before, during, and after amazingly! What happened must happen and finding out who did the original deed are gripping! AG Riddle wrote a wonderful tale.
I usually don't prefer men narrators, especially when they must do several female voices. John Skelley does an admirable job! I will enjoy it again soon!

Interesting Combination of Narrators
Reviewed: 07-11-23
Mr Frost sounds mocking in most of the males he voices...it was annoying for several but not all of them. Ms Grace sounded wonderful, unfortunately she only did the female voices. Thankfully, the combination of the two made it work.
Also, the storyline is compelling! Who wants Elizabeth hurt or dead? Why? Is Darcy going to solve the mystery before any more befalls her? Aren't we happy when the cousins work together? Don't we just love when someone more deserving marries Jane?
Well worth the time!

Until they decided to be honest and humble themselves. Had Darcy been honest in the first place, he would have gained his goal much more quickly and easily. Had Elizabeth been honest, she would have realized why she was broken when she asked to break up.
Then again, it would have been a much shorter book. This was perfect!
The best narrator out there! Sometimes I want another just to hear Stevie Zimmerman read it!

It is 1803, and a treaty has allowed England and France to enjoy a brief moment of peace in the midst of the Napoleonic wars. Darcy is despondent over Elizabeth’s refusal of his proposal at Hunsford, so Colonel Fitzwilliam proposes a trip to Paris as a distraction. At a ball, Darcy unexpectedly encounters Elizabeth, who is visiting Paris with the Gardiners. He sees this as his opportunity to court Elizabeth properly and rectify past mistakes. Before he can make much progress, however, England declares war again, and Darcy must help Elizabeth flee France.
